« ⁠I spent three years living and working in Beijing, China, an immersive experience that developed my love of travel and exploring new cultures. ⁠⁠I also spent four years studying film in Chicago, with a focus on international cinema. To this day, I love going to film screenings and discovering little-known television shows.
⁠⁠I am a huge coffee lover and unabashed coffee snob who's always happy to share recommendations for where to find a delicious espresso in Paris 🤗»

An American in Paris 🇺🇸🍸

If you’re looking for an old fashion bar in , this is the place to go:
Harry’s New York Bar was first open in 1911 and found quite the success amoung the american artists living in Paris of the 1920’s, such as Hemingway, Gershwin, or the Dolly Sisters.

The bar was literally dismantled from the 7th avenue of Manhattan and reassembled rue Daunou in Paris. The history and connection to the U.S. makes this bar an institution for expats and visitors feeling home sick. Of course the team had to visit it! 👯

And with the elections anxiously coming up, it is time to bring back a tradition that exists since 1924! It starts a month before the official voting day in the United States, and any US citizen with their passport can come and cast their fake vote. This has become a real institution, more reliable than all polling institutes put together. Indeed, Harry’s has been wrong only 3 times in 113 years!

We’ll never know who Juliette voted for, but she also took that time to enjoy a Bloody Mary, invented in this cocktail bar 100 years ago 🍹

And if Bloody Marys or elections aren’t your thing, you can still go and enjoy one of the 270 cocktails and 150 whiskies, the oldest cocktail bar in Europe has to offer 😉

Entering fall the right way 🍂

As we are entering season, someone in the team, (our french-american ambassador, Juliette of course) was on the lookout for some pumpkin spice latte, not an easy task in . And that’s when we stumbled across this nice coffee shop called

They have the best we tried in Paris, but also a great selection of sweet and savory pastries and viennoiseries.
And that’s because next door they have an original pastry shop where you can personalize your party cakes.

I’m not one to advertise for places I don’t like, so here is a recommendation of a place we did enjoy! It’s perfect for families and they even welcome pets, what’s more to like 😉

Where are my fashion lovers? 🙋

is known as the world’s fashion capital (not to be biased 🙄). So, of course, I had to visit the Palais Galliera—Paris Museum of yesterday. I have to say this is a beautiful place to spend a Sunday morning, as you can enjoy the temporary exhibition, followed by a lovely café in the palace gardens, because who doesn’t like coffee with an Eiffel Tower view?

The current exhibition is focused on Fashion on the Move, in line with the that have just ended in Paris. I was happily surprised to learn about the evolution of sportswear since the 18th century and the societal changes we, women, went through over the years. Seeing how we used to dress versus now to go horse riding, play tennis, go fencing, or cycling was a beautiful discovery. 🏇🎾🤺🚴🏼‍♀️ used to constrain women until we reached a point where sports clothes allowed us to be free of our movements and in society.

If you are not a big museum person, this is the perfect place to visit, as the exhibition is relatively short, so make sure to check it out if you have a spare morning in the 16th arrondissement. 😉

The team is growing and we’re delighted to introduce Juliette 🤗

French-American, she was born and raised with her sister and French parents in the unique city of San Francisco.
Juliette joined us in July, in the midst of the Olympic Games, to help us strengthen our operations and guest relations going forward. And what a wonderful month we’ve had!

As a sign from the universe, we first met Juliette two years ago. She was visiting Paris with a friend of ours and agreed to take some photos for the brand.
From then on, she became the face of Dayin and a great friend, we just didn’t realize yet that she would fully join the project later 🤗.

You’re probably wondering where Emilie is? Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Emilie, who has returned to Martinique for the summer and is heading for her next adventure in Italy 🌍

Today, we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944. This pivotal moment in history marked the beginning of the end of World War II, as brave Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate Europe from tyranny.

In our second slide, you’ll see two remarkable veterans who have journeyed to Paris to honor this historic day. These heroes represent the last living generation of those who fought on D-Day. We are privileged to celebrate with them, knowing that this may be one of the final times we can hear their firsthand stories and express our gratitude.
