Everyone knows about Kyoto’s geisha, but did you know that there are also some in Tokyo? More precisely in the historic district of Kagurazaka, famous for its geisha past.
Although the number of geisha is lower than in the past, a few geisha houses still perpetuate this tradition.
How about going to meet them? Take part in an ozashiki with geisha! During an ozashiki, you will be entertained by geisha (and sometimes maiko, their apprentices) through performances of traditional music, dance and games.
Kagurazaka is one of the few places in Tokyo where you can experience an authentic ozashiki!
