If you're in Tokyo in August, don't miss the Koenji Awa Odori! ✨ This matsuri, held on the last weekend of the month in the Koenji district, is undoubtedly the capital's most eagerly awaited dance festival! ☺️ More than 10,000 dancers parade through the streets of the Koenji district, and the event welcomes more than a million visitors throughout the weekend (from 5pm to 8pm)! 😮 Awa Odori, nicknamed the ‘dance of fools’, is a 400-year-old dance from Tokushima prefecture in Shikoku.
