La 4e édition du Festival du Film Libanais de France se tiendra du 14 au 20 octobre à Paris, dans les salles du cinéma Le Lincoln, après une soirée d’ouverture le 13 octobre à l’Institut du Monde Arabe.

Le conflit qui aujourd’hui ravage à nouveau le Liban couvait déjà l’an passé, alors que tous les regards étaient braqués sur les affrontements et les bombardements à Gaza, redoutant leur propagation.

Les films présentés lors de cette édition 2024 seront ainsi notamment marqués par la guerre et ses conséquences. Mais ils illustrent également bien d’autres aspects du Liban, de sa société, de ses questionnements.

Au total, 40 films seront projetés, dont 25 courts-métrages en compétition, et plus d'une dizaine d'avant-premières, mêlant documentaires et fictions. De nombreux échanges et rencontres auront lieu en présence des équipes des films.

La cinéaste Danielle Arbid, marraine de cette 4e édition, en présidera le Jury 2024 aux côtés de Chloé Mazlo, Christophe Chêne-Cailleteau, Katia Saleh, et Noel Keserwany.

Vers l’inconnu (Ila Ayn? الى اين؟ ), œuvre majeure de l'histoire du cinéma libanais, réalisée par l'un de ses pionniers, Georges Nasser, sera projetée le mercredi 16 octobre à 20h. Premier film libanais présenté en compétition à Cannes en 1957, aux côtés de cinéastes de renom comme Fellini, Bergman, ou encore Bresson, le film a été restauré en 2017 par Abbout Productions à l'occasion du soixantième anniversaire du Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes .

La projection sera suivie d’un échange, autour du film avec Michel Tbbl , critique et programmateur. Ne manquez pas cette pépite ✨🫶

🇱🇧🎬 La 4e édition Festival du Film Libanais de France se tiendra du 13 au 20 octobre au Cinema Le Lincoln à Paris.

Face à la tragédie dans laquelle est plongé le Liban, parler de notre pays est plus que jamais nécessaire. C'est avec le cœur lourd mais une grande détermination que nous vous donnons rendez-vous du 13 au 20 octobre pour nous réunir en soutien aux cinéastes et au Liban, car dans un pays déchiré par la guerre, le cinéma reste un refuge et un pont, capable de sensibiliser, raviver l’espoir et nous rappeler notre humanité commune.

La guerre et ses conséquences seront au cœur de la programmation cette année avec la projection de 40 films dont 25 courts-métrages en compétition, et plus d'une dizaine d'avant-premières, mêlant documentaires et fictions. De nombreux échanges et des rencontres auront lieu en présence des équipes de films.
