Our team came together to celebrate the French tradition of Galette des Rois (King’s Cake), and we owe a big thank you to from Grands Hotels Parisiens for bringing us this delicious treat!

This festive pastry, typically enjoyed in January, marks the celebration of Epiphany. Inside the cake is a hidden charm, and the person who finds it in their slice gets to be crowned king or queen for the day—a fun way to kick off the new year together!

« I wish you even more magical ideas for 2025, mummy. »

That’s what my 9-year-old daughter wished me on New Year’s Eve, and it made me pause to reflect.

Magical ideas are at the heart of everything we do at Family Twist—helping families create memories that connect them on a deeper level.

2024 was a year of magic: welcoming over 1,000 families, launching Milan and Lake Como as new destinations, and working with our amazing partners and team to craft unforgettable experiences.

What makes Amsterdam such a great choice for families?

Our team explored the city to perfect our family-friendly experiences, and we can confirm—Amsterdam truly has it all!

▫️𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿: We pedaled through local neighborhoods and the countryside, visiting Anne Frank’s former home—a deeply moving experience.

▫️𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿: We explored Dutch Jewish history, retracing our guide’s family steps and visiting monuments honoring victims.

▫️𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗴𝗵: In 3 hours, we learned color techniques, discovered our inner artist, and painted along the canals.

▫️𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 & 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: We toured windmills, tasted fresh milk, and explored charming villages—Dutch tradition at its best!

Amsterdam is perfect for a long weekend (or more!) and even better in the Spring—especially if you’d prefer to skip pedaling in the cold like we did ;)

Yesterday, we experienced the breathtaking AURA INVALIDES, an immersive show under the Dome of Les Invalides.

Through stunning lights, video mapping, and music, this monumental spectacle beautifully highlighted the richness of its architecture and heritage.

Running until May from 7 PM, it’s a must-see in Paris that will amaze both children and adults!

At the end of October, our France Travel Design Team embarked on an incredible Famtrip to Nice, Monaco, and Cannes!

We strengthened bonds with our amazing partners, met our incredible boat companies, chauffeur services, and guides, and visited some stunning hotels along the way.
