What do the Tour de France and this pastry have in common? Before the Tour de France was created, there was a famous bike race between Paris and Brest. In order to promote it, a pastry in the shape of a bike wheel was invented by pastry chef Louis Durand in 1910! Even if this race no longer exists, let´s celebrate the Tour de France last day today with a Paris-Brest pastry😋!

Today is bank holiday in France and a celebration of the Virgin Mary. A good opportunity to catch up on Notre Dame de Paris’ reconstruction! After being secured and consolidated until 2021, it is currently undergoing dusting and cleaning. This will allow to renovate both water and electricity facilities and, hopefully, to start rebuilding the spire and the roof in 2023. Fingers crossed!

On March 4, 2020, the Musée Cernuschi will reopen after 9 months of refurbishment works. Set by the Parc Monceau park, this is the ideal spot for a Parisian walk.
This museum devoted to Asian arts got a makeover and unveil a new staging within which you can discover a new permanent collection display highlighting a selection of works and most of them haven never been on display ever before (430 works out of 650), as well as temporary exhibitions. If at its debuts, the Musée Cernuschi was focusing on ancient Chinese arts, its permanent collection opened up to the Far East to unveil treasures coming from Japan, Korea and Vietnam.
Next week will see the opening of the new exhibition at the museum Marmottan - Monet "Cézanne and the master painters. A dream of Italy".
For the first time, the painter’s works will be presented alongside pictures by the great Italian masters from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. A remarkable selection of canvases by the forerunner of Cubism, including an iconic Montagne Sainte-Victoire, and the essential Pastorale and still lifes, will thus face a rare ensemble of paintings by the likes of Tintoretto, El Greco, Giordano, Poussin and many others.
Music, Dance, Poetry and many surprises wait for you for that lovely night. The occasion to take a new look on the masterpieces of the most romantic sculptor of 19th century.
