This boat and bike ride down the Loire Valley, two hours south of Paris by train, combined everything that makes me happy as a casual-tourist rider. It was a delightful sport experience – mostly easy and flat but with some hills to boast about afterward. It was through beautiful nature.

Two seasons have past…
And we haven't had any guests to welcome.

In the winter of 2019/2020 we worked hard to get the ship ready for our next big step. With a new quiet generator driving our new air conditioner, and a refurbished salon we were poised to start the season with a bang.

Then everything changed in the start of 2020 when corona made a big hole in the place where you, our guests, should have been. As life slowly starts to return to normal, we sincerely hope you, your family & loved ones are healthy.

I was able to take up some of my old work and with the help of cycletours we made ends meet.

Corona hit the bike & barge business hard and all our colleagues are struggling. Lucky there are also good things; My family is healthy and the Clair de Lune looks better then ever.

I am very proud of my wife for supporting our business and at the same time continuing to work in the hospital. I would also like to thank my staff for their patience.

It has been a rough 2 years but the light at the end of the tunnel shines bright!
We couldn’t be happier with our partner Cycletours, even if we haven't sail for them yet.
We hope you haven't lost your wanderlust, because the fun & adventure of traveling, meeting new people and sailing with us awaits you next year!
