We’re still thinking about the EURO that ended just a few weeks ago.

And when we think about the EURO, something particular might cross one's mind:

The unforgettable moment, when Italy won the Semi Final in 1968.
By coin toss!

What happened?

Italy vs. Soviet Union:
After a match where neither of the teams were able to score, the game extended into extra time, maintaining a deadlock.

And back then, penalties were not yet part of the rules.

That’s why the decision about who can proceed into the final came down to a simple coin toss.

Fate was on Italy’s side, and they entered the final of the EURO 1968.

What a dramatic moment – imagine if something like that happened today!!

5 biggest mistakes parents make when they send their child to a football camp:

❌ Mistake #1: Booking a camp that is not suitable for your child
Be cautious when sending your child to a camp where the staff doesn’t speak your child's language. If your child isn’t able to properly communicate, this can lead to frustration.

Ensure that the skill level of the camp matches the level of your child. A beginner will not enjoy a high-level course and vice versa.
If you have doubt about your child's level, speak to our support, and they will be happy to help.

⌛ Mistake #2: Not booking early enough
The camp, the flights and the airport transfer.

Our suggestion is to have everything booked at least 3 months before.
Not only are the prices for flights lower, but you and your child will feel much less stressed.

📍 Mistake #3: Not letting your child choose the club or location
Talk to your child about their wishes regarding their favourite club or country of choice.
Because, as we know: We are at our best, when we enjoy ourselves. And playing at our favourite club’s camp definitely adds to this.

🙅🏽 Mistake #4: Not letting them make mistakes
This point isn’t directly related to the camps. But children that were taught to always be perfect, are usually the ones not finding friends very easily at camps.
And I’m sure you’ll want to prevent this from happening.

Encourage them to have flaws. And to embrace them!
They will not only be under less pressure, but also be so much more coachable. And that should be the aim.

🧳 Mistake #5: Not preparing an emergency solution
Luggages can get lost on flights. That’s unpredictable, yet possible, and it is very annoying.
It has happened rarely, but it has happened before.

So here’s our recommendation: Pack outfits for two days and medicine they might need into your child's cabin luggage.
