Across the year we’ve posed this question to our colleagues at our events around the world 🌍 We’ll be sharing their insights throughout the day, but right now, let’s take a look back to where we started the conversation and set an inspirational tone to kick off International Women’s Day 2024!

At Pharmapack 2024 we spoke to some female pharma professionals about their insights and advice for other women keen to enter this industry. We also asked what advice they would give to their younger selves. The responses are empowering, insightful and inspirational. It’s all part of our focus on greater inclusion, diversity and gender equality across our events and hopefully will have a knock effect across our wider pharma community.
International Women’s is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on our achievements to date and to explore what else we can do to create more access to leadership roles for our female peers, to promote mentorship programs and to encourage young female scientists, professionals, and researchers to reach for the stars.
👩 To celebrate International Women’s Day coming up, the Amsterdam office hosted an inspiring panel discussion, reaffirming our commitment to building an inclusive and equitable workplace.
💼🌟 Kicking off the session, Adam Andersen set the tone by emphasizing the significance of gender equality at Informa Markets. Our panel of inspiring women then shared insights on challenging stereotypes, allyship, and outlining actionable steps for advancing gender equality!

Pharmapack sustainability update!
In 2024, we made a significant stride towards reducing food waste at Pharmapack. Instead of composting, we introduced a biofuel initiative. Through onsite sorting we collected food waste, which was then converted into biofuel, generating enough energy to recharge 10 smartphones for a whole year through methanization.
Let's continue to innovate for a greener, more sustainable future together!
Sustainability is a core value at Pharmapack, integral to our success and responsibility! We take pride in adopting innovative solutions that not only reduce our environmental footprint and inspire our community but also combat food waste. Through impactful partnerships with Delices Corner and Banque Alimentaire, we've taken action. This year, at our event, untouched lunches were collected and swiftly delivered to local food banks in Paris. Between January 24th and 25th, over 300 lunches were rescued from waste:
- Day one: 152 hot meals
- Day two: 218 hot meals
This collaborative effort significantly curbed food waste at Pharmapack, ensuring these meals nourished others in need across Paris. Thank you for standing with us in our commitment to forging a brighter, more sustainable future!
