Yesterday while working in the vineyards I found this little nest with 4 tiny eggs in it. Hopefully by the time those 4 siblings will be able to fly it will be possible for us to fly too... (I mean by airplane ✈️ across the borders..)

Sheep in the organic vineyards. I went for a walk with my dog this morning and they showed up to say hello 😊. After harvest sheep eat grass and leaves so winegrowers doesn’t need to wait until leaves fall and can start pruning earlier then neighbors...

Champagne is not just to drink, but also to admire! Even if I live 150 years, I will never get used to the fragile beauty of autumn here! Three weeks after harvest: another year has gone for winegrowers...They can finally relax for a short while before winter pruning.

Jean-Claude (Champagne Lepitre) is getting us some freshly-pressed Pinot Meunier juice directly from the vat. Delicious and no alcohol so I can enjoy it too!

Harvest 2019 is exceptional! This morning I went to the vineyards near Sacy. Grape-pickers looked very tired: it’s the end of second and last week of harvest...
Hopefully they will get a good rest on weekend with a glass of champagne and a good massage!

View on Marne Valley from Hautvillers. The legendary benedictine monk Dom Perignon used to walk around here, tasting grapes and praying for good harvest. He couldn't have imagined that some 350 years later Champagne "pilgrims" from all over the World would come to see his grave and thank him for their sparkling joy...
