There are only 90 hectares of Pinot Blanc planted in Champagne. That is approximately 0.25% of the total vineyard surface.

Here are 6 of our favourite champagnes made exclusively with Pinot Blanc grapes that we use in our "Blanc de Pinot Blancs" tasting events

We have ordered them from left to right by the height of the wine label 😀.

"La Francia in Franciacorta" - a horizontal tasting of the Champagne Marie-Courtin collection at Osteria della Villetta, Palazzolo sull'Oglio (BS), with friends and producers from the Franciacorta sparkling wine district.

Résonance paired with "Coregone in Carpione and Croccante with white polenta" and Allégeance (rosé de macération) with Tripe were simply heavenly.

As always "Efflorescence" stands out as the most popular pure Pinot Noir

Well it's not everyday that one gets to exchange views on the future of Champagne with M.me Maggie Henriquez, the President of Krug...

The 2017 Pinot Noir vin clair (base wine) 17 RCY 1-14B was just incredible. Does "RCY" mean that it comes from the largest Champagne village in Aube?

P.s. The Grande Cuvée magnum wasn't bad either😉

"Le Jardin" - Champagne Marie Copinet.

A collection of 3 Blanc de Blancs (Chardonnay from the Sézannais region). Harvest 2011 from a single vineyard "garden" plot and dosed Brut Nature, Extra-Brut and Brut.

Re-tasted all 3 on a vertical tasting and at this moment in time the "Sauvage" Brut Nature stands out from the crowd.👍
