Gigantica has been named fittingly, to represent the huge carp that swim within its depths. The lake has already exceeded our wildest expectations. When we took over the lake in 2008, it was badly managed, too many anglers, uncomfortable swims, poor facilities, rigs and baits dropped by boats, and the fish had nowhere to hide, coupled with poor quality bait being introduced. The transformation in

the last few years has to be seen and experienced to be believed. Our long-term goal was to create a fishery with just giant carp, this dream is becoming more of a reality with every passing year. Gigantica is and will always be a serious carp water for the dedicated carp angler wishing to fish a ‘proper’ lake with plenty of room. Since our ownership of the venue we have even dropped the maximum number of anglers down from 26 to only 12. The reformation of this wonderful lake has seen fish experience huge growth rates, with several fish gaining as much as 15lbs between captures. With an estimated 600 carp present there are plenty to go at, however the quantity is still somewhat unknown, with previously unrecognised carp to over 50lbs still popping up every now and again. The Gigantica carp are no ordinary carp, the calibre of these fish is not to be mistaken as anything other than perfect. The lake has a very large head of big, plated mirrors of up to around 60lbs, something you rarely see abroad and a cause for excitement. These scaley carp are mothered by their larger, more leathery companions, the real old brutes of the venue with several having reached weights of over 80lbs, with the jewel in the crown The Immaculate Common now exceeding 90lb’s. The list of big fish is growing by the day, and in a short space of time it has established itself as the ultimate holiday venue in Europe. Comfortable fishing for huge, catchable carp, in stunning surroundings. Gigantica also offers great facilities, courtesy of the on-site bailiff team. Don’t forget, here at Gigantica you can purchase all your baiting requirements once you arrive.
We have a selection of “Gigantica Special” hook baits available, as well as a good selection of hook baits to complement the range of boiled we sell from the Mainline baits range. So whether you are looking to fish a match the hatch style bait or something more colourful we have your needs covered.

As well as the hook baits we have a great selection of liquid attractors available to purchase. Again if it’s for your free offerings or to boost your hook baits even more, with a selection of Kiana Carp Goo’s, we again have you covered.

We always have prepared maize and h**p ready to go for our customers on site. Plus we can also supply the large tins of sweetcorn to the angler if required. Both Cell and ISO Fish boilies, in 10kg bags, from Mainline are available on site.

A mixture of our particle with boilie and a good helping of Smart Liquid over the top can get you great results at Gigantica.

🐋🐋 Baby Cluster 🐋🐋

Last week saw the return of our Danish friends, and once again they never fail to succeed. This year, one angler "Per Hansen" who was fishing from Co's Point managed to land Baby Cluster at a new top weight of 73lb, also a new 70 for the Main Lake 🥳🐋

🐋🐋 Road Lake 2024 🐋🐋

Road Lake this year has been a absolute blast, so with only one week to go before it closes for the winter, we thought we would share some high lights from this year!

The fish in the Road Lake are doing one thing and one thing only and that's growing, some fish even putting on 10lb since 2023 🤯

This year it has produced two new 70's, "Rons's" at 70lb 4oz and "Hanson" at 70lb 14oz. We've had four new 60's, "The Jackal" at 62lb, "The Nose" at 60lb 14oz, "Troyes Chunk" at 65lb 4oz and "Big Shack" at 63lb with numerous new 50's and 40's. 🐋

That's put the Rod Lake now on.

🐋💙 Foster's For Rob 💙🐋

Our very own .fish AKA Crank has been a summer bailiff with us this year and has been working is socks off over on the road lake!

It's not so easy to get amongst the bigger fish as a bailiff because as always, the guest and work come first. But after all his hard work throughout the year the Road Lake has finally rewarded him with Foster's at a whopping 64lb 4oz 🐋🤯

10 wraps towards Turtles Corner from The Poo is where he caught her from and going back to basics with a running lead system, knotless knot, 2 peaces of maize and the forever faithful stick! 💪

well done Rob, well deserved! 🐋

🐋 Top Rod 🐋

Few weeks back on the annual Korda Social, Callum had a trip of a lifetime in Alcatraz 💪

Fishing at range he managed 2x 70's, Danish Bacon at 75lb and Lippy Common at 70lb 2oz, aswell as many other 60's 50's 40's! Check out the list within the photos 🤯

🐋 Turtles Corner Once Again 🐋

Last week Turtles Corner saw angler Jason Schroeder and once again the swim never failed to produce a few 🐋

Jason came out 3rd in the draw and decided to fish all three rods at the dot island, one just to left of the island, one slightly right and one straight down the middle!

Jason was feeding a mixture of house h**p, maize, pellet and 10mm boilies with spinner rigs over the top. Jasons top five as follows 🐋

Been a blast this week with many carp being caught from all over the pond, with some very special ones amongst them too! 🐋

Just to name a few, Simon in Treeline has caught The Weld at 60lb, Ross in Co's has managed Lennie's at 55lb and the awesome King Fully at 45lb 6oz. Lee in Bob's Beach has caught Long Spot at 47lb 12oz and Dan in Alamo has managed The Furious Common at 58lb 12oz!! 💪

Its been a fantastic week with plenty of P.B's Brocken and with one more night to go, who knows what will slip up 🤞

🐋 Road Lake success for Bendall 🐋

Last week saw the annual Korda Social trip and our very own account manager had a cracking trip in The Beach 🐋

Landing a total of 23 fish with some unbelievable fish amongst them including Ron's at 64lb, The Nose at 58lb 12oz, Mysterio at 53lb 14oz, kulture Club at 49lb just to name a few 💪

Dave was fishing two spots one at 13 wraps towards Decoy and the other at 21 wraps towards the bund, feeding a mixture of boilie, maize and house pellet.

🐋CHUNKY🐋

Chunky a monster that has put a smile on many of anglers faces and holds a lot of P.B's! December this year will mean she has been missing for two years, last caught at 83lb 4oz by Bill Hodkins at a record weight.

The big girls history shows that she loves to get her head down between now and January so if you're visiting us in these next coming months, you could be that next lucky angler 🤞

And after being missing for two years and always gaining weight between each capture, who know's how big she is! 🤯

Luke Williams recently paid us a visit over on the Road Lake and managed a session of a lifetime. Fishing from Shingles he managed to land multiple fish with these being his top three biggest.

The Return Of The Jackal

After two years on the Road Lake missing list, the big girl has finally returned. Last Capture was by Jacob O'Conner back in September 2022 at 59lb, and recent capture was by Ben Darch at 59lb 12oz September 2024!

The Jackal previously known as "The Lake Record Common" was stocked back in 2013 at 30lb, the name got changed due confusion as it was taken over by other bigger commons. But now being just under the 60lb mark who knows what this carp could grow to.

Gigantica, week in week out throws up some of the finest carp France has to offer! But this carp Named "The Armadillo" is something else, not only because its an absolute worldie but its also as rare as they come!

With only two captures on record, first being Steve Rocke back in July 2014 at 29lb 14oz to now being caught in September 2024 by Jamie Bartlett at 47lb 8oz. That's a massive 10 year gap!

What other surprises does Gigantica have to offer? Who Knows!
