🐋 2024 What A Year 🐋
With 2024 coming to a close, we want to share our top 10 highlights of the year with you guys. The Gigantica complex, both Main Lake and Road Lake get's stronger as each year passes.
We will start with the Top Five fish from the main Lake. In no particular order, Armadillo caught by Jamie Bartlett on the last CarpFix social, a fish that went missing for a whole decade 🤯. Back in May when Jack Link caught the Lippy Common at a new record weight at 70lb 8oz, first time over 70lb. Baby Cluster being caught for the first time over 70lb, at 73lb by Per Hansen back in October. Shoulders made many of angler happy this year, caught a total of five times and the biggest weight landing to Rob Burgess at 71lb 12oz. And off course we could never leave out The Immaculate Common caught by Warren Dolan back in August at 98lb, a rare giant that swerves being caught for sometimes years on end defiantly deserves to be in the top 5.
Top five for the Road Lake. The road lake is blossoming into something spectacular! Year by year it throws up new 60's, multiple new 50's and this year its produced a new 70 with the Road Lake now on a total of two 70's with a few 60's knocking on the door. This lake is turning into a very big fish water very quickly. So the top 5 we will start with Lee Sutton back in May catching Hanson at over 70lb and being a new Road Lake record of 70lb 12oz. Big Shack jumping into the 60's topping the scales at 63lb back in April caught by regular Nick Warburton, Troy's Chunk doing the disappearing act for four years and reappearing at a staggering 65lb 12oz back in May by Darren Grossman. The Sort after Jackal, again went missing for a couple of years and is now in the 60's at 62lb, caught by Phil Allen in October. And last but no means least Mable last caught by Andy Norris at 63lb 14oz, not the biggest she's been out but one of our best looking common's on the complex.
Now from all off us at the Big G we would like to thank all customers, old and new for visiting us over the past year and we hope you had a great Christmas and we wish you a very happy new year.
Big Love
