Gigantica has been named fittingly, to represent the huge carp that swim within its depths. The lake has already exceeded our wildest expectations. When we took over the lake in 2008, it was badly managed, too many anglers, uncomfortable swims, poor facilities, rigs and baits dropped by boats, and the fish had nowhere to hide, coupled with poor quality bait being introduced. The transformation in

the last few years has to be seen and experienced to be believed. Our long-term goal was to create a fishery with just giant carp, this dream is becoming more of a reality with every passing year. Gigantica is and will always be a serious carp water for the dedicated carp angler wishing to fish a ‘proper’ lake with plenty of room. Since our ownership of the venue we have even dropped the maximum number of anglers down from 26 to only 12. The reformation of this wonderful lake has seen fish experience huge growth rates, with several fish gaining as much as 15lbs between captures. With an estimated 600 carp present there are plenty to go at, however the quantity is still somewhat unknown, with previously unrecognised carp to over 50lbs still popping up every now and again. The Gigantica carp are no ordinary carp, the calibre of these fish is not to be mistaken as anything other than perfect. The lake has a very large head of big, plated mirrors of up to around 60lbs, something you rarely see abroad and a cause for excitement. These scaley carp are mothered by their larger, more leathery companions, the real old brutes of the venue with several having reached weights of over 80lbs, with the jewel in the crown The Immaculate Common now exceeding 90lb’s. The list of big fish is growing by the day, and in a short space of time it has established itself as the ultimate holiday venue in Europe. Comfortable fishing for huge, catchable carp, in stunning surroundings. Gigantica also offers great facilities, courtesy of the on-site bailiff team. The Gigantica food has formed quite a reputation for itself, becoming a phenomenon in the world of bankside feasts. Do you want more information about fishing the premier holiday venue in Europe? The Tea Party's

Following last weeks post, we've moved round to Tea Party 1 & 2 prepping them for this coming year. As you can see they look very different with these two also now boasting new natural wicker screens. A very popular pair of swims over the years both due to their social aspect and also an area of the lake that sees a lot of fish traffic. They both command a lot of water and big hits of fish were seen last year especially in the spring and autumn months. Tea Party 1 fishes out into open water, while Tea Party 2 commands a stretch of tree line on the far margin down with shallower water to be found on the shelf. Both swims have produced most of the A Team over the years, here are some of the ones that came out last year.

The Goo and The Poo

With the Road Lake being shut over the winter period, this year we have been preparing for what we hope to be, another great year's fishing.
Starting round at 'The Goo' and 'The Poo' as well as cutting the vegetation back and opening up the swims, we've also installed new natural wicker screens to each swim to both enhance the appearance and privacy, as well as a bit of protection from the elements.
Throughout last year both swims produced some good fish, with these swims tending to produce the larger fish, rather than numbers and with the furthest point in either boundary being 80 yards, can also be a good bet if fishing long range isn't your thing, helping you fish tidier and more effectively. These swims also tend to produce fish through the night into the early hours of the morning, meaning resting them through the day can be a great tactic.

‼️Water Level ‼️

For anyone who is venturing over to Gigantica over the next few months, please be aware that the water table level in the region is rising as it does every winter here.
So this means that with rising lake depth some of the swims are now under water.

So please if you are coming you will need to bring welly boots as a minimum for most of the swims that you might find yourself fishing in.

Those looking for a 2026 trip, then you do not have to long to wait to get your spot secured, as we are hoping to release the bookings sometime next month.

🌞 Roll On Summer 🌞

We are now in the depths of winter and with the fishing being a bit slow and the current temps being bellow zero on a night time we thought we would cast you back to a typical Road Lake summer hit 🐋

These warmer days are not to far in the distant future, with the shortest day now gone, leaving the evenings to get slightly lighter as each day passes they will soon be here and we for sure can not wait, but for now, enjoy a few pics from Liams August trip where he caught a total of twelve fish, with ten of them being over 40lb.

🐋 2024 What A Year 🐋

With 2024 coming to a close, we want to share our top 10 highlights of the year with you guys. The Gigantica complex, both Main Lake and Road Lake get's stronger as each year passes.

We will start with the Top Five fish from the main Lake. In no particular order, Armadillo caught by Jamie Bartlett on the last CarpFix social, a fish that went missing for a whole decade 🤯. Back in May when Jack Link caught the Lippy Common at a new record weight at 70lb 8oz, first time over 70lb. Baby Cluster being caught for the first time over 70lb, at 73lb by Per Hansen back in October. Shoulders made many of angler happy this year, caught a total of five times and the biggest weight landing to Rob Burgess at 71lb 12oz. And off course we could never leave out The Immaculate Common caught by Warren Dolan back in August at 98lb, a rare giant that swerves being caught for sometimes years on end defiantly deserves to be in the top 5.

Top five for the Road Lake. The road lake is blossoming into something spectacular! Year by year it throws up new 60's, multiple new 50's and this year its produced a new 70 with the Road Lake now on a total of two 70's with a few 60's knocking on the door. This lake is turning into a very big fish water very quickly. So the top 5 we will start with Lee Sutton back in May catching Hanson at over 70lb and being a new Road Lake record of 70lb 12oz. Big Shack jumping into the 60's topping the scales at 63lb back in April caught by regular Nick Warburton, Troy's Chunk doing the disappearing act for four years and reappearing at a staggering 65lb 12oz back in May by Darren Grossman. The Sort after Jackal, again went missing for a couple of years and is now in the 60's at 62lb, caught by Phil Allen in October. And last but no means least Mable last caught by Andy Norris at 63lb 14oz, not the biggest she's been out but one of our best looking common's on the complex.

Now from all off us at the Big G we would like to thank all customers, old and new for visiting us over the past year and we hope you had a great Christmas and we wish you a very happy new year.

Big Love
Team G 🐋💙

Which one’s next to break 70?

Looking through the archives for the Road Lake here at Gigantica, we are seeing more and more getting bigger and bigger and wondering which one’s next to break the 70lb barrier.
With two already over the 70lb bracket in the Road Lake, there’s also 13 fish over 60lbs and some that haven‘t been seen for 4 years since breaking 60, which would you put your money on?

Amstel - All About The Hat - Mable - Fosters - Troy’s Chunk or any others?

Full Moons, do you think they impact carp fishing?

With much controversy regarding the impact on full moons in carp fishing and with one approaching this weekend, we thought we would take a look back over the results this year and see what happened on and during the build up to a full moon on Gigantica.
As you can see plenty of the A Team came out, but we are yet to see some others. Could this be the week we finally see some that are on the missing list?
Let us know your thoughts...

Welcome back Ben Morgan!

So this week we welcomed back one of our well known bailiffs here at Gigantica, Ben Morgan aka The Welsh Wizard. After having some time off this year, he jumped straight back in to where he left off managing to bag one of the A Team out of the Road Lake, one known as 'Big Shack' at 60lb 6oz.

Plotting up in Tea Party 1 and on only his second night he was fishing 16 wraps towards the church spire on solid bags with yellow pineapple and isotonic Gigantica Specials, boosted with Honey Goo.

I'm sure you are all with me on this, it's good to have you back Ben!

Check these out, regular face Marcus Leek landed himself a lovely brace of 60's last week out of TreeLine 🐋

Kicking off his session with a proper old dinosaur named Bite Mark at 36lb 8oz, he then went on to bring his rods in shorter after a little advice from the bailiff and managed "The Buzzin' Fish" at 66lb 4oz, followed by "The Koi" at 61lb 8oz . He also managed one of our stocky's in the name of CarpFix to at 28lb 4oz.

Many other fish came out last week from all over the pond so keep your eyes peeled over on our website for the latest catch report that will be aired in the next couple of days!

Well done Marcus good to have you back 👍

Don’t forget, here at Gigantica you can purchase all your baiting requirements once you arrive.
We have a selection of “Gigantica Special” hook baits available, as well as a good selection of hook baits to complement the range of boiled we sell from the Mainline baits range. So whether you are looking to fish a match the hatch style bait or something more colourful we have your needs covered.

As well as the hook baits we have a great selection of liquid attractors available to purchase. Again if it’s for your free offerings or to boost your hook baits even more, with a selection of Kiana Carp Goo’s, we again have you covered.

We always have prepared maize and h**p ready to go for our customers on site. Plus we can also supply the large tins of sweetcorn to the angler if required. Both Cell and ISO Fish boilies, in 10kg bags, from Mainline are available on site.

A mixture of our particle with boilie and a good helping of Smart Liquid over the top can get you great results at Gigantica.

Don’t forget to pick up a pot of “Specials” before you leave to try back home………..you won’t be disappointed.
