Harold's Place is a cosy holiday cottage in the Normandie countryside. It sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms that are en-suite. all the popular tourist attractions: Bayeux, D Day beaches and historical sites, museums and cemeteries, Mont St Michel, Caen. St Lo is 8 Kms away with all the facilities a large town offers. Our village of St Clair sue Elle is also very well serviced and a 25 minute walk down the lane or a short drive. Harold's Place is so called because a U.S. Soldier called Harold was mortally wounded here 10 days after D Day. He is buried in the American Cemetery at Colleville sur Mere. We live on site and outside our cottage is a plaque in honour of him.
