Le Moulin du Merle est un gîte situé à quelques heures seulement de Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg et Dijon. Cette villa atypique, construite au 19ème siècle sur un moulin d'eau du 17ème siècle, s'est vue accueillir (ainsi qu'organiser parfois) de nombreux événements : l'anniversaire surprise d'un membre de famille, des séminaire professionnel ou voyage d'entreprise aux ateliers et thérapies de yoga, de

différents arts ou encore de simple randonnée. La recherche de quiétude et de cohésion.Moulin du Merle is a Holiday rental Home situated a few hours from Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg and Dijon. This atypical villa, built in the 19th century on-top of a watermill from the 17th century, has seen (organized sometimes) many an event: the surprise birthday of a family member, from professional seminars and team building to workshops and therapies of yoga, different arts, or nature-seekers. A quest for relaxation and cohesion.

Almost there, our largest renovation is close to completion with this second half of our roof. Our house is once again well protected rom the rain, and we have added some much needed insulation. Also two new windows, but you might have to come back to see those!

On Sunday 14 July, the annual Water Jousts took place in Clamecy, the capital of timber rafting! The jousts in Clamecy are a long-standing tradition, in memory of the raftsmen who supplied Paris with firewood and oven wood for almost 400 years. 🪵 🏊‍♀️

And if you're a fan of floats, don't miss the "Descente Bidon" this Sunday 11 August from 9.30am at the Place des Abattoirs in Clamecy. A pretext to navigate wacky boats on the Yonne that draws hundreds of spectators each year.

We 🫶 good reviews! The Moulin is often booked by groups of friends. Since we are nicely located between Dijon, Lyon and Paris, they use our home for a friends’ reunion - and to meet each other’s offspring. With 8 bedrooms Moulin du Merle offers room up to 15 people (babies, teenagers and an occasional dog are most welcome!)
