Now fully installed at La Vendange EV charging point …We ask guests to log the kWh used overnight (from the meter on the post) on the whiteboard before they unplug in the morning. Guests can pay us for electricity used at the end of their stay. We charge only what EDF charge us for the electricity.

Beautiful day out in La Rochelle today where Richard finally got his moules- frites fix today .. it’s an hours drive from La Vendange but worth a day out with lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping.. there is also a great Aquarium where there is a large public car park there too..

Our superstar Jack who’s pretty great at everything unsurprisingly aced his official PADI bubblemaker scuba diving certification with Wendy and Geoff who are certified diving instructors and are here every Tuesday at La Vendange .. well done Jack

Beautiful restaurant about a half hour away from La Vendange called Le Moulin De La Baine in Chaniers. The restaurant sits on the bank of the Charente river and it used to be a water mill built in the 17th century. We had a fantastic three course meal and a lovely afternoon with friends ..

Clairette Gité ..sleeps eight and is our largest gité with two separate bathrooms one with spa bath the other with a shower and has three seperate outdoor areas , two outdoor dining and one private garden ❤️

We went to the market this morning in Saint-Jean-d’Angély which is about 15km from La Vendange ..a few clothing stalls but mostly fresh fruit, vegetables and sea food .. in the main market hall there is more food including amazing cheeses .. I definitely needed another French shopping basket .. ❤️🇫🇷

Very happy ducks at La vendange

Whilst we were lighting up our pizza oven here in Australia we couldn’t help but pine for our one at La Vendange and warm summer nights... sat outside with blankets it’s just not the same..looking forward to next years season!! Richard and Adrienne x

Yippee! One of the chickens finally let me stroke her...the secret is to wait until it’s their bedtime...they hop up either in the tree or on the side of where we put their scraps... ♥️🐔
