Now fully installed at La Vendange EV charging point …We ask guests to log the kWh used overnight (from the meter on the post) on the whiteboard before they unplug in the morning. Guests can pay us for electricity used at the end of their stay. We charge only what EDF charge us for the electricity.

Beautiful day out in La Rochelle today where Richard finally got his moules- frites fix today .. it’s an hours drive from La Vendange but worth a day out with lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping.. there is also a great Aquarium where there is a large public car park there too..

Beautiful restaurant about a half hour away from La Vendange called Le Moulin De La Baine in Chaniers. The restaurant sits on the bank of the Charente river and it used to be a water mill built in the 17th century. We had a fantastic three course meal and a lovely afternoon with friends ..

Clairette Gité ..sleeps eight and is our largest gité with two separate bathrooms one with spa bath the other with a shower and has three seperate outdoor areas , two outdoor dining and one private garden ❤️

We went to the market this morning in Saint-Jean-d’Angély which is about 15km from La Vendange ..a few clothing stalls but mostly fresh fruit, vegetables and sea food .. in the main market hall there is more food including amazing cheeses .. I definitely needed another French shopping basket .. ❤️🇫🇷

Hello from La vendange and much warmer than Sydney winter that’s for sure !! I think I brought the rain and cooler weather with me tho.. just thought I’d jump on and give you all an update .. well after three long years we are back at La Vendange , Richard has been here for about six weeks and working very hard with help from his nephews getting the place back to its charming self.. we aren’t open this year but hopefully next year if we can get it how it should be.. next year there will be a wedding here at La Vendange yes after all these years we are finally making it official.. but for now it’s so nice to stay here as normally it’s too full and guests are probably happier without the owners lurking around .. hope everyone is happy and healthy with much love Richard and Adrienne x

Bonjour à tous nos amis de La Vendange malheureusement cette année nous ne serons pas ouverts car en raison du gouvernement australien nous ne sommes pas autorisés à partir car nos frontières internationales sont fermées. Nous espérons vivement que l'année prochaine sera une autre histoire ! Nous avons cependant fait des rénovations et beaucoup d'entretien à nos gitès. Beaucoup d'amour et meilleurs voeux de Sydney .. Hello to all our friends of La Vendange unfortunately this year we will not be open as due to Australian government we are not allowed to leave as our international borders are closed . We very much hope that next year will be a different story ! We have had renovations and maintenance going on to our gitès though.. We hope that you all are all keeping well and are happy and healthy and fingers crossed we will see some of you next year !! Much love and best wishes from Sydney .. Richard and Adrienne x
