A cold snap reminds us that winter's on it's way!

We had our first dusting of snow on the the Aravis Mountains.

Although it's the middle of summer and we're busy hosting cycling groups from around the world, and enjoying the mountains in their summer mode - we also know it won't be long before thoughts turn to winter and skiing!

With the continuation of the mild winter, it may be getting thin at village level but there is at least some good snow conditions still to be found up high!

But it's also the fine food, drink and company that makes a great Ski Weekender!

Particularly so on a 6 Nations weekend when the bar is busy, and everyone is enjoying the Mont Blanc beer after some afternoon tea and cakes!

Afternoon tea on Valentine's Day has become something of a tradition at our Aravis Lodge, and Mali has risen to the challenge!

Amazing display of tasty treats... Not much left now though!

And yes - you can eat the roses! A bouquet of white chocolate flowers.

Despite a mild January, the snow conditions above 1500m (which is where the skiing is to be found!) are still great across all of our resorts.

A tour of the webcams from La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Les Contamines, St Gervias and Samoens showing some lovely snowy, sunny and well-groomed pistes for our half-term guests!

After a pretty wet and stormy couple of days - the sun is coming back to reveal a lot of fresh snow up there!

Great conditions in La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand so we're expecting some very happy guests at afternoon tea.
