France opens to visitors from Europe Monday 15th June, and low rate international countries from the 1st July.

France will open its borders to visitors from European countries, including the UK, from Monday and there will be no more forms to fill in for those wanting to come.

For the first time in four months, international travelers will soon be able to holiday in Europe.

But as restrictions on non-essential travel to Europe ease, travelers from high-risk countries including the U.S. may not be welcome at the outset. The end of the travel ban will be “gradual and partial” vice president of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, told journalists Wednesday. The move will take into account certain “criteria”, and “be based on a common, coordinated approach by member states,” he said.

His comments hint at travelers from low-risk countries getting the green light to Europe travel first.

Dear Customer,
Various countries are currently introducing extensive measures to delay the spread of COVID-19 / Coronavirus.

DFDS will naturally adapt to the recommendations and advice provided.
However, the governments do not want to bring transportation to a halt. Therefore, we will continue operating our ferry routes.
As our highest priority is to ensure our passengers have a safe, secure and comfortable journey, we will follow government recommendations to limit the number of people gathered in one place on board.
We will also continue to follow our robust procedures for avoiding the spread of the virus through increased cleaning and disinfecting on board. We will continue giving advice to our passengers on how to avoid spreading the virus through hygiene measures and keeping a safe distance from other people.

We will continue to do our utmost to ensure you have an enjoyable experience on board.
However, we also understand that the situation is creating concerns among many people. Therefore, we will offer customers who have a booking before the 30 April, up to 24 hours before departure, the option to change their booking to a credit voucher to be used at a later date.

As our call centres are extra busy, we kindly ask that re-booking requests are made via email, which you will find along with a number of answers to frequently asked questions here.

Château de Montbosq

Prince Honoré V Grimaldi of Monaco owned the Château where he spent part of the summer. He had planted a large park there, located at the foot of the Montbosq hill, a fairly high eminence partly belonging to the formation of intermediate sandstone and from which iron ore was formerly extracted. Le Petit Manoir is part of a 17th century Château 3 km from the town of Saint Martin des Besaces, in the midst of the battlefields of the 2nd World War
