PalmTree Holiday Cottage is in fact two cottages in the heart of the vineyards and sunflowers of southwest France. Each cottage can sleep four and can be rented separately outside the high summer season. During July and August they are rented together as a 'sleeps eight' accommodation with exclusive use of the pool. Both cottages have beautiful salons which have sitting, eating and cooking areas w

ith all mod-cons including 32" flat screen, wi-fi, washing machines and a dishwasher in No1. The windows look out over a lovely wisteria covered private terrace and garden and views over the french countryside beyond. Hope you like peace and quiet as you won't hear anything other than wildlife at night and won't see anything other than stars as the mayor turns off all the street lights at 11pm. We have a large and private in ground heated swimming pool, one of the largest in the area at 12 meters by 6 with a depth throughout of 1.2 meters. This is surrounded by a large terrace, grassy play area and BBQ area. Large parasols and sun-loungers complete the poolside holiday feel. We also have a large lawns and an orchard for outdoor activities and eating area options. We have a basketball net, table tennis, a 4 meter in-ground trampoline, a boules court and archery for the kids. St Martin de Juillers is an ideal base set in the most beautiful rolling countryside. We are within easy travel distance of many local attractions. The Coast is less than an hour away with many beautiful beaches and resorts. Cognac is 30 minutes, Saintes is 25 minutes, St Jean d'Angely is 15 minutes. All are gorgeous towns with markets and lovely architecture, churches, riverside walks and shopping opportunities. La Rochelle is an hour away. Not only is it our nearest airport but the town and harbour are beautiful. An ideal base for exploring on foot, bike (we have some you can borrow), and by car. So you can be as active or restful as you like.
