Marc and I enjoying a pre-season break in Chateau Feely in the delightful Dordogne region, situated just outside Bergerac and about two hours drive from Le Moulin sur Célé. Lovely to meet Caro Feely, author, organic farmer, wine educator and yoga teacher. Caro and her husband Seán combine their Irish and South African connections with their passion for making beautiful, biodynamic wine and having a lovely life in France.

Today marks the birthday of César Ritz, the legendary hotelier who revolutionised the hotel industry. I have always been fascinated by his story and the way that his legacy lives on in today's world of hospitality. I imagine that César Ritz and other great hoteliers such as Jody Gysling who have gone before us, continue to set the standards in 'hotel heaven'.

It's a source of great pride for Marc and I that our daughter, Christina, is following her dream to pursue a career in hotels. Shannon College of Hotel Management is providing her with an excellent opportunity to learn the trade, from both an academic and practical perspective. Wishing Christina and all aspiring hoteliers every success in the future.

Les responsabilités sont les suivantes : nettoyage complet d'excellence, entretien complet des linges de maison et préparation général du Moulin, dont les lits, pour les arrivées des vendredis après-midi.

Un jour par semaine – chaque vendredi - mai - octobre

Des jours de travail supplémentaires peuvent être disponibles pour aider à la lessive tous les lundis ou mardis.

Les fleurs de Crocus Sativus sont enfin là et prêtes à vous accueillir pour La fête du Safran! Cet événement annuel organisé par les Safraniers du Quercy aura lieu ce week-end à Cajarc, Site Remarquable du Goût.

We had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at Château de la Treyne in good company with our friends, Franck, Thierry & Claire.

Our son James was a member of the team for the summer season and he gained lots of valuable hotel experience there. Uncle Jody (RIP) would have been so proud of him...
