17 years ago we arrived in and took these photographs at Christmas time. Just 6 of us and this little Land Rover. It's been a crazy rode, and we've encountered so many challenges along the way, but we're still here and this place is still the best ski resort in the world. The chair lift's may not be open right now but the resort is and so is Black Diamond Lodge. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone, stay safe and - when you can - come back skiing again. We miss you. 💝

• Replacement of the Arpettaz chairlift with a new 6-seater detachable chairlift which will eventually provide a transport capacity of 3000 people / hour,
• Increased transport capacity for the Grand Plan detachable chairlift with 14 additional new seats, bringing the passenger capacity up to 2000 people / hour.

Great news folks, the Arpettaz (our middle 4-seat chair lift) is being lifted out for replacement this summer. This is the Super Puma helicopter from VLM (Vertical Lifting Mounting) company in Sainte Foy yesterday. We're SO EXCITED to have some good news this year!

Let’s end the season with love, here’s a message sent in today: “We’ve managed to squeeze in (some skiing) today. Couldn’t ask for a better last day. Hearts breaking for the seasonal staff and so much credit to all of them who have big smiles for us despite a devastating season (end) for them.” Mrs Seaton, Oxfordshire, currently staying in Sainte Foy.
