Calling all road cyclists! Some friends of ours are doing an incredible ride for charity this month - doing all 100 of the UK's wildest climbs AND cycling in between them all in one bike ride. That's 5300km of cycling over 29 days including 81,000m of vertical climbing.

They're inviting people to come and join them for a day or two and to help raise more funds for their incredibly worthy chosen charities. Have a look at the website below - they may be passing near you!

Some beautiful photos of Lac Bleu at Morillon. For those who haven't been lucky enough to have been before - it's an absolute paradise for families. There's a high ropes course (for ages 2 and up), pony and horse riding, a large beach area and a pontoon to dive off, trampolining, bouncy castles, 2 playgrounds, lake swimming, beautiful flat river walks, an assault course, crazy golf, a lovely restaurant and an ice cream van. It pretty much has it all!

What an incredible season! Fantastic snow conditions, really lovely guests (both new faces and regulars) and an absolutely fantastic team. An enormous thank you to all of our guests for making our season so fun and a massive hats off to lovely Ingrid, Jamie and Jess who looked after everyone so attentively and tirelessly. We're looking forward to next winter already but in the meantime, we've an exciting summer ahead!

Amazing amounts of snow forecast for this week! If you're still thinking of visiting us, it's not too late! We've just reduced our prices for our remaining weeks in Chalet and Apartment La Roche (including a fantastic reduction over the week of the 10th of February) and there's now a last minute deal on the week of the 18th of February in the Grande Ourse on a catered basis. Flaine opened at the weekend and as you can see for yourself, the snow was fantastic! We've not only got more snow forecast for this weekend but we're also offering a huge £200 saving per person (our biggest ever discount) over our New Year week in La Grande Ourse or La Petite Ourse. It was an amazing bluebird day today and after some fresh snow yesterday, we thought we'd better check it out. The snow was in great condition and we've more snow forecast this week. Not long now until the lifts open and we can't wait! Contact us for flexible dates at the start of the season and some great discounts over Christmas and New Year - this snow is not to be missed!

Really looking forward to trying out the new lift this year. We've always adored the Grand Massif but with all of the recent investment, the skiing area is going to get even better! And with more snow due this weekend, the pistes are getting as ready to go as we are...

It's snowing and we're super excited!! The last 24 hours have brought snow down to the village and with more forecast at the end of the week, we're getting a good base going up on the pistes. We still have some availability before the new year (including flexibility on our start and end dates in Chalet La Roche) so please get in touch if you don't want to miss out!

The weather has turned after some beautiful autumnal days recently and we're starting to get excited about the upcoming ski season! Huge improvements are underway for the Grand Massif with more runs to come in the 2018-19 season as well. I can't wait to get those skis back on - get in touch if you'd like to join us!

We're now in our last week of the season so I want to say a massive thank you to all of our lovely guests for making this summer so much fun! We had our first trek to Chamonix, several 2 Peak weeks and lots of lots of family adventurers. Jess, Ben and Bruno have done a brilliant job and have worked exceptionally hard to look after everyone. I'm already looking forward to summer 2018!

Hooray! Summer is starting early this year with the bouncy castles down at Lac Bleu opening in a couple of weeks. It's a perfect spot to hang out with the kids with plenty to keep kids entertained (from about 12 months to 10 years old). It's fenced in so you can relax in the deckchairs while the kids run free. Bliss.

With only one more week of this fantastic season left, we're starting to think about all of the adventures we're going to be having here in the summer. Top of the list is planning another 3 day hike with the kids - can't wait to get my hiking boots back on and get back on those peaks!

It's snowing! We have lots and lots of the white stuff forecast over the next few days and the longterm forecasts are predicting more over the coming weeks. The pistes are quiet and the conditions are practically perfect - what's not to love?

What a great summer! Thanks to our lovely team and fantastic guests, we've had a great season here in sunny Samoens filled with hiking, cycling, swimming, high ropes, the via ferrata and of course not forgetting the Tour de France! The weather's beginning to turn towards autumn now and we're looking forward to all of the gorgeous autumn colours before the winter sets in.
