Everything is looking extremely green now after all of May’s rain!

A little write-up in the National Geographic today - and it mentions the stone globe statue that is a few metres down the road from the lovely Chalet Onze 🙂
There are guided tours on foot each week over the summer months, in English too - if you want to take a slow morning and learn a little more about the lovely village of Samoens.

New Chalet - new photos! Welcome to Les Randonneurs, a stunning 3 bedroom chalet just outside Samoens sleeping 6 (+4). It has a garden, lots of parking, stunning views across the valley, and inside is extremely well-equipped for a memorable stay, summer or winter! This chalet also has some suprises - one of the biggest baths we've ever seen, and a secret terrace for dozing off with a book, plus more!

we're very excited about this! the last time the Tour went through Samoens was 2016 (although it has been very close by since..), so we can't wait to it it again!

🚲 Le Tour de France arrive à Samoëns ! 📣
D'Annemasse à Morzine, les coureurs du Tour de France parcourront 152 km, sur 4 200 mètres de dénivelé positif cumulé lors de la 14ème étape du Tour de France, samedi 15 juillet prochain ! La célèbre course cycliste traversera notre joli village, avec notamment l'ascension du Col de Joux Plane. ⛰

La semaine précédente, ce sont les cyclistes amateurs participant à l'Etape du Tour qui s'élanceront sur ce parcours. Samoëns vivra donc Le Tour de France de l'intérieur pendant 2 journées cyclistes historiques ! 🚴

Just a little bit of snow this morning at Red Robin HQ - quite a major snow clear too! Suffice to say, snow conditions are now preeeety good!

Great first day of the Ice Swimming World Championships happening here in Samoens this weekend. Amazing seeing teams from all over the world here competing, and in our opinion they all deserved a medal - it was cold!! 🥶 🥶 🥶
