Samoëns' pistes are lighting up for night skiing! The Vercland cable car and the Demoiselles chairlift will be running until 8pm on these dates :

That’s me, practicing witchcraft. Aquafaba water, drained from chickpeas, whipped for a vegan mousse. I did hold it upside down, but it doesn’t make for such a good picture!

Testing out new vegetarian dishes for the season. This one is full of local ingredients… beetroot pasta from the new handmade pasta shop in the village, cheese from and some forage walnuts, lightly toasted. Simple, local, delicious. I might add a little thyme to it, for flavour and colour contrast, but it was pretty darn good like this!

Our Story

Much as we enjoyed living and working in London, we long dreamed of a different way of living. So in 2007 we bought a plot of land in Samoëns, and figured that we’d build a ski chalet and move to the Alps. It took 8 years for the plan to come together, but the close of 2015 saw us finally sell up in the UK and take the plunge to living full time in France. We switched commuting for growing veg, and haven’t looked back since. We believe in the restorative power of the mountains. Massive, majestic, magical mountains. Every morning we get up and look out of the window, and still our breathe is taken away with just how awesome they are!

In the winter we host our guests personally, preparing the meals, and providing a full ski-concierge services. In the summer we generally have self-catered guests who want to get out and explore the hikes and bike rides the area has to offer. The Alps are a wonderful antidote to the hustle and bustle of busy modern life.
