Maison Madeleine is a fantastic short term rental just a 1 block walk to the Canal Du Midi and many restaurants and shops. It is in the center of a small, historic town just 10 minutes to the center of Carcassone which is a UNESCO protected site! Canal Du Midi connects the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and popular for it's house boats, as well as beautiful walking paths along the whole way. It goes right through Trebes which is less than 1 hour drive to the Mediterranean coast in the beautiful Aude region of Languedoc. This area is know for it's history with the Cathars, and has many beautiful historic sites as well as natural beauty. Whether coming for a short stay, or a long stay, there is not shortage of things to do in the region!
