Spring has finally sprung here at Le Petit Bois! We’ve had a busy week with guests for both Gîté and Chambre d’hôtes and the new table d’hôtes offering has been snapped up every night by those staying in the house… as always, fabulous, friendly, interesting guests, from Normandy, Bordeaux, Belgium, Versailles and Iceland (via Paris) making the hard work so worthwhile. But hats off to this lovely lad, who planned a 3hr bike ride before dinner, and arrived to find the annual amateurs race route goes straight passed our door… so he decided to join it… (2nd lap he waves from the back) he lasted only 3 laps before we received his message “It was fun while it lasted but they understandably kicked me out of the race” 🤣 and when he returned a couple of hours later he said that whilst the other cyclists were cool with it and chatted with him on the route, the organisers were on their loud hailers saying “will the guy in the orange jersey please depart from the course” and by the third time round they added that they would be calling the gendarmes 🤣 🚴🏁👮‍♀️🥂
