due to the strange decision by Meta (see below), I am no longer able to post photos here. I will, however, continue to add photos to our homepage: www.arnild-barging.com even if the company is no longer active. The boat is now our private home.

Dear followers, unfortunately I cannot post any photos any longer as Meta thinks that the barge is still a business and that I publish ads. I have told them that the business activity stopped early 2020, but their message is :
"We have completed a further review of your Facebook Account.
This review process has included all aspects of your Facebook Account's activity, including the Ads you have created, as well as the associated landing page or other destinations, among other information. This review found inauthentic behavior or violations of our Advertising Policies or Community Guidelines. You will no longer be allowed to advertise and access to features for managing ad and business accounts will remain limited."

I really regret this strange decision!

A neighbour left the harbour today to go to a shipyard to prepare for a survey.

Rhône-au-Rhin canal is now laid open in front of the Mulhouse train station.

Finally the tunnel was destroyed, only 2 bridges remain for the trams and buses. The wall on the park side is being torn down and the concrete taken away by barge.

An empty tanker (125 x 12 m) reversed past us. There is no room for him to turn around in the commercial port => 15 km reversing on the canal plus into the Niffer lock before getting onto the Rhine river.

UPDATE : Due to the Corona virus, we have cancelled the planned cruises in 2020 and refunded our guests from Australia and USA.

Will probably stop our charter cruising activity altogether.
