It’s now 8️⃣ years ago that we received our first reservation for summer 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣7️⃣.

☀️Au Souleu ☀️was not finished yet but we managed to have it all ready for that summer.
We got an amazing review that helped of course enormously.

Since then we have received many (multi - generation)families, groups of friends, yoga groups 🧘 , Pilates groups, cycling groups 🚲 and so on.

As Au Souleu ☀️is so spacious it feels not full or cramped when you come with a big group (a max of 12 people).

It’s so rewarding to have groups coming back over the years.
The best compliment we can get. 😃

This year we have also availability in the months towards summer.

So what about having spring break in the south of France 🇫🇷?

In Vence are many fountains.
The locals fill up their bottles with the fresh water (eau) from the mountains.

We have our ‘own’ fountain just next to the gate of Au Souleu.
So get every day your bottle of fresh water.

This is what our grandfather, architect Arthur Teisseire, said when he was working and living in Paris.

When he was going back to the sunny south, his roots/home, he talked about going to the sun ☀️.

It was very logic to name the beautiful villa he designed and built in 1936: Au Souleu ☀️

It's winter. Grey days. We imagine you long for the following.

Being together with friends and/or family in the sun.
Being in an amazing spacious house, you walk to the bakery in the morning to get your french bread, croissants.
Later you go with a few family members on a nice walk to a nearby village, some culture, some galeries. In the meantime other family members enjoy the garden, the kids jump on the trampoline or enjoy the plunge pool. And you start thinking what to prepare for dinner.

The evening comes, you light the barbeque and you sit together on a long table with your family. You discuss which teams you make to have the best petanque match.

The following day you make a day trip to Nice or Cannes, or you make a hike in the mountain, or you visit a pitoreque french village, or you go to the sea side. Or.....
Too many options.
But it is all possible.

Au Souleu is the perfect base in the center of Vence. On only a 20 minute drive from Nice airport.
On a 4 minute walk from the historical center.

An authentique family home designed by our grandfather in 1936.
It can not be more local!

Au Souleu, the family house where everybody feels home.

Families, groups of friends, yoga groups, pilates groups and people who are on a workation, they all loved their stay.

Why?
We sure, without a doubt, know why.

- The house designed by grandfather Arthur Teisseire in 1936 is just amazing, spacious and cozy.
With 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a big salon and practical kitchen you feel, even when you are with 12 (!) people still not cramped.

And it’s simple but nicely decorated with keeping the history alive.
Plus it’s super clean.

- The location is perfect.
Au Souleu is on a 4 minute walk from the historical center of Vence. So you walk in the morning for your fresh bread and croissants. Or have a coffee on a terras and you see local life passing by.

- The area is just amazing.
Vence lies in between the coast with cities like Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and the mountains ⛰️.

- Culture lovers can enjoy the chapel Rossaire designed by Matiss, the mosaic from Chagall in the cathedral of Vence and the many musea in the area close by. Foundation Maeght, the Picasso museum etc

And we can go on! 😊

Since this year we don’t have a family staying for a longer period you have your chance to stay with your loved ones or clients.

Did you know that Au Souleu is also a perfect location for a yoga group? Or for a workation?

We have received quite some yoga/pilates groups now and they all thought the villa was perfect for it.

We have 6 bedrooms so you can come with a group of 12 people.

When you had a sign like this in the garden.
Glad we still have this beautiful piece of history how our ancestors published their news and tried to get tenants.

Different to how we now bring news via social media.

Bonjour! And some nice news!

We are in the middle of summer and we had already a nice family spending time in Au Souleu. Still some more to come.
We love it that we can share this house with guests who feel like they live the local french life. Walking in the morning to town to buy your fresh french bread or sit on a terras with a coffee or later a wine.

For you, who never could come out with family or a group of friends, we have some special news.

In the week of 22 tot 28 september we organize a workation in Au Souleu. Which means, you work from Au Souleu in the morning and in the afternoon you are going to enjoy Vence and its surroundings. Focus on working on that special project you wanted to, discuss with your fellow 'workationers', and have time to yourself.

We have already some nice people participating but still have 2 spaces left.

So... if you always dreamt of living the local life in the south of France then this is your chance!
