Assistant Security Operative W***y had his birthday this week.. he celebrated in style with a lunch at Le Scorlion in St Jean D’Angely.

We said goodbye to the last guests for the season this morning so it’s time to close down the fridge for the year.
A big thank you to everyone who enjoyed a drink or ice cream and at the same time helped us raise an amazing €250 for Ark79.
Mika Minis were very popular this year along with specially imported Freddo Frogs.. but for the second year running … the magnums were the best sellers.

After recommending the food here to all our guests, thought we would test the menu again.
We walked in the door and what did they say .. ‘oh hello William and Harry!!’ 🤣🤣
I don’t normally post food .. but the profiterole was as good as I remembered..

I suppose there’s one bonus from all the rain we had, so many bunches of grapes this year…not sure it helps with the TV reception though as it covers the aerial !!

Today we finished the new garden for wisteria.
One of our longer projects, delayed with a wall collapse at the end of last year but now finally ready to welcome this years guests.
New stone walls thanks to Joe and Tom, decks removed and all ground leveled to allow the new astroturf.

Ten days since we last went for a walk to the Tournesols field .. but look how much the sunflowers have grown..and plenty of wild flowers (weeds???) too..
