Further to my last post, today we completed our preparation for this season. Our way of coping has been to shorten our season and we are now ready and excited to welcome our first guests of 2023. Luckily for us they are previous guests who are returning. We did have a last minute panic. When I tried to turn on the WiFi I discovered that the cable had failed. Thank heavens for Amazon and I was able to get a new 100 MTs of cable and we managed to string it up and get it working in time! As I sat with a reviving G&T I realised that this is the 38th time I have prepared for a new season!

To those of you who think that as we are selling up we might let things slip, don't worry, we intend to go out with a bang. I would say today everything looks better than it has ever done. We still work very hard to ensure that your holiday is everything that you hope it to be. And if we don't find the right people to take on Le Manoir we will keep at it until we do!

Last month I celebrated my 70th birthday and we have reluctantly decided that this year is going to be our last season and we are looking for a new owner to take over Le Manoir. Yesterday I read an article saying that in 2024 France is going to be the most visited country on the planet. Amazing what hosting the Olympic Games can do! So there you are stop thinking that it might me a nice idea to move to France and do something about it!
