Good news ! The French Bike Label has been awarded to three more local businesses.
When available, I choose accommodation with the "ACCUEIL VELO" label, because there will be a lot of extra services from secure bike storage to extra copious meals :-) !

A few years back, I gave up singlehanded sailing on a boat which, thinking back on today, was ridiculously small. The sailing adventure had started to swallow much more time, effort and money than I could afford and it was time to change something in my way of life.

By chance I discovered that cycling was perfect to fill in the void left by my giving up sailing. Every time I pedal in the wild, in the rain or in the dark, I am reminded of the exhilaration I used to feel at sea, clipped on in a tiny, open cockpit, brutally exposed to the elements.

Today I’m well and truly addicted to my cycling adventures. So I’ve given up my day job to create my own dream job 😊 !

That's me posing this morning in front of the only suitable open water spot at the lake....
But still no go !
Today it wasn't the ice stopping us from swimming ... but the horizontal snow 🥶 !!

On the other hand ... cycling on fresh snow is the best 🚴🏿‍♀️😀❄ !!
