The road from Villa Sofia up hill goes all the way to St Elijah Church and the border line between Montenegro and Croatia going through the church yard.

It is renowned for its sunset views of Boka bay a and the monument to the French soldiers from Napoleonic wars.

Did you know that Opština Herceg Novi / Municipality of Herceg Novi is the first member of of the European Federation of Napoleonic Cities in Montenegro: Destination Napoleon

A short hike from our villa up the hill, in the yard of Saint Ilija church there is a monument, paying tribute to the French soldiers who died in the Napoleonic Wars.
