So happy to help Herd on the Hill Sanctuary today with some of our organic meadow hay as we do every year. In the spring we leave it to bloom to help our bees, the insects and birds then in the summer we cut it to feed the horses in the winter.

We have hay! Thanks to our amazing friends and neighbours Sean, Sam and young William at Arth Valley Retreat We've worked tirelessly the past couple of days clearing debris from our ruined hay and getting these 280 beautiful small bales in our barn.
This is quite possibly the best organic meadow hay I've ever seen, so many species in it and no fertilizer or any nasties whatsoever and as for the smell it's divine! I wish you could stand in the barn and smell it.
High quality forage is so important to us as in the depths of Winter our rescues depend on it as there's practically no grazing. So lovely that it's super local and from a small family business.
We use around 1300 small bales a year so this is just some of what we will need but what a start. Also love that it's Lammas day which was traditionally the start of harvest and a period of gratitude and plenty. Thankyou so much guys ❤️❤️❤️

With the summer holidays on the horizon, we’re celebrating an amazing first half of 2024 tonight whilst doing some quality control in our latest piece of accommodation ‘The Olive Tree’. With the Copper Hide, Felincwm Cottage and tipi’s being full with happy guests and ‘The Nags Shed’ finally getting the use it deserves, we can’t wait to get stuck into the 6 week bustle.

What an amazing day we all had here yesterday through all the seasons of weather. Our local Beavers group organised such a great day for these lucky young children enjoying lessons in bushcraft, archery, plant identification, bug hunting and nature craft.

All this plastic was collected on a secluded beach just a couple of miles from us, it only took about 30 minutes too 😔 It's unbelievable how much plastic there is on such a short stretch of coastline, especially as it is only accessible by boat or the coast path. It makes us feel genuinely sad at what is happening to our beautiful part of the world.
But every little bit helps, small acts of kindness towards our planet can make big changes 💪
This summer we're giving all our little guests (sorry adults, this one is for the kids) a free stainless steel reusable AVR mug for every bag of plastic collected off our beaches. In our house we call it a treasure hunt and the kids love it! They fill an empty bucket at the end of a beach day or bring a spare shopping bag to collect the "treasure" and feel like they're doing their bit for nature. So even if you're not staying with us, next time you're out enjoying some vitamin sea remember how much better than planet would be if everyone did a little bit to help. 🌍🫶
The suns finally shining and we’re set for a beautiful Saturday evening, we’ll be getting the BBQ out, getting some music on and making the most of it, hope you all enjoy yours ❤️

The Copper Hide is a unique escape for couples. Our old milking parlour was converted into accommodation some years ago but in 2024 it’s benefited from a complete makeover. With a roll top bath, mezzanine bed with large star gazing window and Woodburning stove.

We’re so exited to announce that planning permission has finally been granted by Cyngor Sir Ceredigion to build our new development. 3 years since the start of this process, but we finally got there!

Our lovely boat Dreamcatcher is ready to take you out on the sea! We will do one hour trips but if you fancy the boat to yourself a private charter is avalible.
Dreamcatcher can only take 12 passangers so spaces are limited.
