Cut and shut blinds….look away 😀 Vanshades blinds are a cracking upgrade on VW campers but can be an absolute nightmare if you already have a splash back fitted…so I’m doing a cut and shut job. Cut them, fit a dowel rod, pree drill holes etc. Split it, slide it through the cut out in the splashback, fit the “dowel”, and secure, then self tap the shade onto the rear of the splashback. So much for the theory,…here goes😀.

Lovin’ our new alloys and tyres from fitted by Jordan at . Cracking service and price, and a nice guy to chat with as well! Definitely much better service and more convenient than taking your car to one of the big chains. Changed out 255/35/20 Pirelli to 235/55/18 General Grabber AT3 for a bit more meat on the tyre to deal with getting off the beaten track! Next up are standard height springs and KONI Active shocks.

Really happy with how this turned out fitting to the fiamma bike rack. 8 rubberised ratchet straps included with the bag. Perfect for wetsuits, boots, towels etc to go in. Now we just need to drive to Lewis & Harris!

Today's camper equipment video is for the Cadac Carri Chef 2. A great gas BBQ that can cook just about anything. Our camper has the BBQ grill plate, Chef's Pan and Pizza Stone. Please note when attaching the legs that there are a right and left ones that match the base. And yes, that's Susan and myself back in the day at the start of the vid 😀

Our T5 Campervan has a Kiravans Rail Sail Awning and can be set up in 5 minutes as shown in this set up video.

To speed up the handover process on the day, and let people head off as quickly as possible, we are planning to post a number of supplier instructional videos (and maybe some of our own) that can be viewed prior to trips and referred to during trips. This video is from the suppliers of the double seat swivel system Kirravans. Please note the comment regarding accidentally popping the handbrake button. Having done this in a recent handover, we can assure you it can happen. We have found it better to stick the camper in gear and / or have someone keep their foot on the brake pedal just in case.
