Nantyderry Garden Centre is a traditional family run business located in the small village of Nantyderry, in the heart of rural Monmouthshire. It was established in 1956 as a market garden, growing vegetables, cut flowers & plants to sell at local markets. As local people began to visit the Nursery to buy home-grown produce, a retail business began to evolve, and the garden centre was formed. But

our focus is still on plants, of which we stock a wide range, many being grown in our own nursery. We also stock gardening sundries including tools, terracotta and glazed pots, decorative ornaments and a wide range of composts and fertilisers. Although we are slightly off the beaten track we are actually very easy to find, just 1 mile off the A4042, halfway between Abergavenny and Pontypool.

Our seed potatoes onion sets, shallots etc are selling fast.....we've still got 38 varieties but we're already getting low on some of them! Don't leave it too late if you are looking for particular types.

Our seed potatoes are now in stock, along with the onion sets, shallots, garlic etc. Our second delivery is due this week so by Friday we should have approx 40 varieties of potatoes and 12 types of onions/shallots.....plenty of choice! And almost all of them are sold loose, so that you can pick & mix, and buy as many or as few as you need.

So for those of you who would like to give it a go yourselves, we still have some places available on our Wreath making evening on November 22nd at Goytre Village Hall 6pm - 8pm...£35 per person. We will guide you step by step through the whole process, with all materials provided, so that you take home your own unique hand made door wreath at the end of the evening!

As the weather gets a little colder and we start to retreat inside, enjoy some plantlife indoors. Having plants in the home brings lots of health benefits, helping to purify the air and remove some toxins. Our green foliage planters are perfect as a gift or to treat yourself. We've had delivery of a couple more pieces of Cosy Bay all weather rattan...perfect for sitting out in the garden with a good book and a glass of something (or a cup of tea!) to enjoy some late Summer sunshine.
