Nantyderry Garden Centre is a traditional family run business located in the small village of Nantyd The business has gradually expanded since those early days.

Nantyderry Garden Centre is a traditional family run business located in the small village of Nantyderry, in the heart of rural Monmouthshire. It was established in 1956 as a market garden, growing vegetables, cut flowers & plants to sell at local markets. As local people began to visit the Nursery to buy home-grown produce, a retail business began to evolve, and the garden centre was formed. But

our focus is still on plants, of which we stock a wide range, many being grown in our own nursery. We also stock gardening sundries including tools, terracotta and glazed pots, decorative ornaments and a wide range of composts and fertilisers. Although we are slightly off the beaten track we are actually very easy to find, just 1 mile off the A4042, halfway between Abergavenny and Pontypool.

Bring some bright Summer colour into your garden with some glorious Canna ...perfect for patio pots. Protect the plants a little in the Winter, to avoid them getting too cold or wet, and they will come back every year even bigger and better!

First batch of veg plants now ready (only the hardy ones). Cabbage, cauli, lettuce, broad beans. New batch of lovely herbs also in stock. Still a bit too cold to garden outside? Then why not bring a bit of greenery inside to cheer up your indoor space. There has been lots of research into the benefits of having plants in the home...they are beneficial for our mental wellbeing both visually, and in the process of caring for our indoor plants - nurturing plants can help lower stress levels. And many species help clean the air by absorbing some airborne toxins. So it's win, win all round!

It looks like we might have a few days of dry(ish) weather this week, which means more opportunities to get out in the garden! Although it's still way too early to plant seasonal things, it's good to just get out in the garden, have a tidy up and have a look at what needs to be done....its a great time for making a plan! And don't forget we've got 10% off all our new season packet seeds, as well as great prices on seed potatoes, onions, shallots, pots and trays, compost etc....everything you need to get started!

It may not be planting weather yet, but its always lovely to look ahead and get prepared. All of our loose veg seed, potatoes, onions etc are selling well ....don't forget, we sell them loose so you only buy exactly what you need....zero waste! Our remaining delivery of potatoes should be with us tomorrow so that will be 45 varieties in total!! And garlic will be here too, so there really is plenty to choose from. And for Spring colour, how about fabulous bulbs in flower now......come and have a browse.

Loose veg seeds have arrived..broad beans, runner beans, French climbing / dwarf and peas. Just like our potatoes, onions and shallots, they are sold by the kilo, so you can have as many or as few as you need.

The beauty of Autumn in the garden...

Our Christmas wreath production line is well under way!!

Time for us to start our Christmas Garland making. All hand made using a base of long lasting noble fir. Our first batch will be heading for some well known department stores in Abergavenny, Crickhowell and Brecon...we will post some photos when they are finished and in place!

We have a selection of Summer potted annuals to add instant colour to your pots and containers....reduced to clear.....now only £1 per pot!
