We’ve lost approximately 97% of flower-rich meadows since the 1930’s and with them gone are vital food needed by pollinators, like bees and butterflies. We have provided a feast for pollinators, helped to tackle pollution, helped to reduce urban heat extremes, and locked away atmospheric carbon below ground. Ty Crwn has been involved with every year since 2018, and we've let wild plants get a head start on the summer!

We’re celebrating two birthdays today! 🥳

The first is Dr Mark Baker, the founder of the castle restoration project. The second is the Countess of Dundonald, who was also an important part of the castle’s history.

The Countess was a patron of Welsh art, music and literature during the early twentieth century. During World War One she also founded two military hospitals entirely at her own expense which served to treat patients from all over the world.
