Visiting Glasgow's first dedicated Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery for over 100 years. Fascinating history of the docklands where the distillery is sited in the Pumphouse (1863)

A great day at Uilebheist Distillery (love their artwork) for Whisky Talks. Great speakers, great connections, great drams. Continuing to get to know this community and discovering a lot of encouragement and enthusiasm. Not a bad "work" day! 😀🥃

This year Ballindalloch introduced me to the wonderful world of whisky during my time as a Tour Guide. It was a great learning experience into production from barley to bottle. Good to see their Ambassador getting out and about promoting their great drams.

Been wanting to go to Dunphail since it opened last year. This is old school. First for me at a maltings. Open top wooden washbacks. Long fermentation times at 168 hours! Tasted the New Make Spirit, full bodied. Going to be difficult to wait patiently for this peated and non-peated juice! Great tour by Natasha.

Popped in to my "go to" Whisky Shop to get my staple whisky diet of Campbeltown Loch. Don't knock blends, this is a cracker and I will always have one open on my shelf. AND as a surprise bonus the latest whisky bible has just come out! In its 20th year it is a must for all whisky lovers.

In my experience of Indian restaurants there tends to be a token selection of whisky not at Qismat in Speyside! A great restaurant, one I can whole heartedly recommend.

A beautiful evening in Speyside. Chatting to local farmer, Alan Forbes, it was a month later to the day than last year's harvest. Not surprising considering how wet it was this summer.
No farmers, no barley. No barley, no whisky!
