It was a pleaseure to meet Mel together with her friends Becky and Soph over the weekend!

From renovating five years ago we’ve learnt so much from the Insta community regarding renovation, interiors and home decor and we were so lucky to get endless help, advice, inspiration and support which made the whole experience much easier. It’s also been fun along the way - the insta reno community is full of inspirational individuals who have done amazing things to their homes!

Meeting one of these people this weekend was just fantastic! Mel and her account is always a fun, colourful and happy place - just what you need when you’re on changeover days to brighten them up!

Really hope to see you again with us - there will always be a big Croeso at Llys Alaw!

Three generational family holidays…

It was so lovely to see Jenna and Martin with their three children Finlay, Elodie and Remi back with us for a week at Llys Alaw over the last week - their third stay with us!

With them of course were their parents and family - Kath, Pascal and Trev! A truly three generational family break - Llys Alaw is proving to be the ideal location for this type of stay 😎

So many different groups staying in Llys Alaw over the summer - from friends groups, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries to lots of three generational families!

There’s plenty of room to relax both inside and out - and the house is ideally situated with Aberystwyth nearby, the beaches of Ynys Las, Borth and New Quay and Bwlch Nant yr A***n and Devil’s Bridge on the doorstep.

We only have one weekend left this year but get in touch now to secure those dates for 2025!

Hydref : Autumn Here’s my autumn display attempt today (in between changeover!) All ready for our guests this weekend - a group of ladies who’ve been with us before! Croeso nol ferched 😉 My display was a mix of dried hydrangeas and berries from my own garden, some from Sylvia’s garden (Diolch!), eucalyptus, faux achillea spray and grass spray from The Suffolk Nest @the_suffolk_nest and leaf sprays from @brocmor The vase was one I had previously, stuffed it inside with oasis. L I G H T S The lighting at Llys Alaw is a constant talking point and we get so many great comments and questions by our guests about them! In the kitchen we find hanging pendants above both the island and dining table by From the Anvil together with spotlights, cupboard lights and led detailing. The feature light by Tom Raffield in the lounge provides a subtle and relaxing tone, lovely for those cosy evenings in front of the wood burner! Accompanied by table lamps from Cox and Company and spotlights, this room is a real inviting space for all the family. Upstairs we have the fantastic Ligne Roset bloom pendants on the landing providing a real feature point. Each bedroom has drop pendants by @heals next to the beds, in the shades of smoke, forest green and rose. The bedrooms also have wall lights painted in the same Farrow & Ball shade as the wall providing that sleek, contemporary look.
