🌿 Forester's Retreat Glamping is a place surrounded by routes for jogging, running , cycling, biking , fishing, swimming and so on

However, some guests love to do "Absolutely Nothing !" and "Doing Nothing is doing Everything! " and its good for the mind and soul.Switching off and being still ! ...Just listening to the nature 🌿and becoming ONE with it !!! and that's exactly what we are about🌿

But then, there are guests who take it to the next level and go up Snowdonia and finish it on a very high note too 😍

All about exploring Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿whilst enjoying what's on offer ..

From Forester's Retreat Glamping to Aberystwyth, its 11 miles - 25 min drive,
When you get to the bottom of our B Road, turn right onto A44, this direction will take you to Aber as we locals call it 👌

If you , turn left and follow A44 on opposite direction for 14 miles - 30 min drive then you'll get to this beautiful place called Hafren Forest. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

🎊🍾🥂Happy Anniversary to my lovely guests, 😍 they've chosen my place for their 2nd year Wedding Anniversary and it takes quite a dedication and communication to put together what the guests want. Sometimes, we are both generous as the guests and the owners who put it together ❤️ and Sometimes " less is more " and that's also elegant and speak volumes ..After all , even if the guests didn't want to have these extras to jazz up their day , the fact that they've chosen my place to celebrate it , means a lot to me ..So , thank you for booking with me !

🚂🚂🚂🚂VALE OF RHEIDOL 🚂🚂🚂🚂

As Forester's Retreat Glamping owners , my daughter and I visited Vale of Rheidol Railway museum today , followed by the famous and award winning locomotive train trip took us up to Devil's Bridge Waterfalls ...

Devil's Bridge Waterfalls , just up the road from our Glamping pods. You can simply purchase your tickets and hop on the train and visit town and catch the last train back to Devil's Bridge again ...
Or , you can do it the other way round and hop on the train from Aber to Devil's Bridge and return back to Aberystwyth..

Don't forget to stop at Hafod , Two Hoots Tea Room or Woodlands Cafe and Tea Rooms to have some refreshments or a good meal 🍲🥗🍝🍜🥂🍺.The choice is yours.
We chose to have a delicious afternoon meal at Hafod today 👌😋

Yes, we most certainly completed the long route for the Waterfalls but I'll tell you , its not for the faint hearted ! I highly recommend this route to people who do not have walking difficulties or respiratory issues. You must take your time and don't rush it and if you are scared of heights , the long route is not for you 🫣

🐟🎣Fishing in Dinas Reservoir 🐟🎣Part 2

Thank you to my lovely guests for gifting me these gorgeous Rainbow 🌈 Trouts 🩵

I have descaled, gutted and prepared these fish with LOVE ❤️

When there's love involved in cooking , the food always tastes devine 👌

I've used home grown kale for the base and home grown red potatoes 🥔 and lemon slices to fill the fish and oven baked for 45 min 👌😋

I've seasoned it with Mediterranean salt, black pepper, lemon juice and red palm fruit and rapeseed oil ...

This whole rainbow 🌈 trout was my late lunch and I've had nothing for dinner ..so filling, so wholesome, so healthy 😀

So there we are , you come and stay here with us , fish in Dinas , I'll gut your fish and clean it for you and give it back for you to enjoy a Mediterranean style BBQ at our pods 👌

Ps, all my equipment has been cleaned and disinfected after preparation of the fish 🐟..No salmonella is welcome at my household 🤣

🐟🎣 Fishing at Dinas Reservoir 🎣🐟Part 1

Another guest with a giving heart 🎣🐟

My lovely guests who are currently staying in my " Dinas View" Pod have purchased their permit and went for fishing and but they're not fish eaters and fish for the hobby of it and to relax ...
I was absolutely delighted when my guest gifted me with 3 beautiful sized gorgeous Rainbow 🌈 Trouts this morning..
I haven't gutted a fish in years , let alone have a fresh fish for lunch which was caught in the morning 😀
I was happy, greatfull and absolutely over the moon with his gesture 🩵

So if you're a fishing 🎣 enthusiast yourself, why not come and stay with us at Forester's Retreat Glamping and enjoy a fresh fish from Dinas Reservoir and cook it on a BBQ 🎣.Permits can be purchased from the local garage ..

Who needs dinner when you have a whole fresh Rainbow trout that's consumed at lunch time. 👌it was so filling not to mention its devine taste 😋

There's my Rainbow trouts baked in the oven with home grown potatoes and kale 👌only if I could grow lemons 🍋 in this climate too 🤣

Our glamping pods are all fenced off for the below reasons ,

🌿So that , you could have privacy
🌿So that, your dog/s could have the best holiday.
🌿So that , you could let them run around in their own big garden without worrying about them escaping.
🌿So that , you don't have to pay kennel prices
🌿And so that , they get to go on holiday with YOU !

So , all I ask is that their vaccinations are up to date before they check in ,

You as the responsible owners , clean up after your dog/s for the duration of your stay ,

And , finally on your way out , one last time look back and see if your dog has left anything behind...

Be considerate and please pick up ...

Ps, not all our guests are dog owners.

Whilst we have sheep on our own land , some local farmers have the grazing rights to the common land which means you'll see sheep and their lambs all round the country roads , particularly heavy around our site..

Be considerate and drive very sssloooooooowly!!!!! ( 5mph or even less)

🌿Well what can I say , since the stronge 4G coverage announcement in the area, I seem to have a young lady who is all of a sudden wants to be up at the pods 😃..

Whilst us adults enjoying the peace and quite and the variety of coffee options, this teenager seems to be enjoying her hot chocolate outside by the firepit 👌Who'd have thought that having 4G up here would change the dynamics of the whole stay ...

If you have a sensible teenager who you'd like to bring with you, I'm happy to offer Cambrian Mountains View Pod for your stay 🌿😃
