⭐️ A lovely review left by guests in August at Dyffryn Haidd ⭐️

Here's a quick review from our stay with you last week:

We had a fantastic stay at the Dyffryn Haidd in Llanafan. Having stayed in Llanbrynmair a couple of years ago, we knew roughly what to expect but this cottage wow'd us and pleasantly surprised us with how well kept it was and how thought through everything was when we arrived.

Great hosts, very friendly in the communication, very prompt and easy to contact and very helpful. Spotlessly clean cottage, well equipped, has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. A lovely well kept garage with a table tennis table and dartboard to keep the little ones busy, a very well maintained hot tub in the backyard along with a picnic bench and garden chairs that we enjoyed on every single day through our stay. The view from the bedrooms to the front of the cottage are to die for - a lovely, friendly pair of horses across the road, and farms all around that make your stay so pleasant. Minor detail - tall people be aware though - the first floor bedrooms do have a sloping ceiling that you should be aware of. Didn't bother us at all though as long as you're aware of the heights.

For visitors, a few things that may help you understand the experience of the location better - we're only about 20 minutes from Aberystwyth to the west, about 15 or so minutes away from the beautiful Hafod Estate (a National Trust church with a great set of walks around it), about 15 minutes towards the east is the amazing Devil's waterfalls (highly recommend but be ready for some uneven / steep steps if you are to plan a visit there). The Ystwyth trail isn't too far either, just about 15 minutes southwards towards Tregaron (a great riverside cafe there too, if you google it up). Again, about an hour from the cottage is the Clywedog reservoir (Llanidloes) with another great cafe at the viewpoint. There's PLENTY to do if you're up for walking in the pristine countryside without the touristy 'noise'. We often walked for miles, walking past only two people through the day.

Overall a great experience at the Dyffryn Haidd, would highly recommend a stay.

Our luxury houses are set in the very quiet village of Llanafan, 10 miles out of Aberystwyth. This large family home boasts a Hot Tub for a truly relaxing holiday. Dogs are welcome too so you can enjoy some of the most stunning scenery in mid Wales.

The race will be raising money for the West Wales Prostate Cancer Support Group.

"Very clean, very well equipped, and beautiful decor, we couldn’t have asked for more. Excellent facilities, the games room & hot tub were put to good use several times. It was so relaxing even with 2 young grandchildren, they even gave names to the horses in the field opposite!

The views all around were stunning and it wasn’t far to travel to shops or attractions. Woodland walks were peaceful and stress-relieving, we all slept really well after a day out in the glorious surroundings and fresh air. The owners Catrin & Andrew were always charming & extremely helpful, it was the best holiday ever, we can’t thank you both enough. Best wishes, Lynne"
