The Merak SS lives
The Merak SS lives

After a full strip and rebuild here at TIYG the Maserati Merak SS Engine fires into life after being dormant for many years. Crank reground, new main and big end bearings, heads rebuilt and re-shimmed, an ignition fault resolved the beast barks out in the workshop on our in-house designed and built engine test stand. With some tuning and setup to be done this unit will be soon be back in the matching numbers SS and being prepared for a return to the road where it should be. Only another three more Merak engines to do afer this one!
