Braemar Castle, built in 1628 by John Erskine, Earl of Mar, is a historic landmark in Aberdeenshire. Initially a hunting lodge, it became a military garrison during the Jacobite uprisings. Burned in 1689 by John Farquharson, it later served as the Farquharson family home and hosted Queen Victoria.

Come along and learn all the basics of fly fishing with our friendly team of volunteers at Banchory on the River Dee, Aberdeenshire. No matter what your level of experience is, we promise you a fantastic day on the river, open to complete novices and those who have limited experience, under 16's by arrangement only.
