River Watch 👀 a fabulous afternoon spent at Gannet’s Hut on #ballogiebeats enjoying a cuppa with our Head Ghillie Sean Stanton. What a difference a few days has made… the river level has dropped since the weekend and the weather looks less mixed for the week ahead. 🤞🎣

A busy few days ahead for Gavin & Martin on the Property and Maintenance Team ‘chipping’ the windfall from the last few storms on #Ballogiehouse drive. 👍🏼

The River Dee Trust hosted the official opening of the #Riverdee today at Banchory Lodge.
Niaomi Bell and Cameron Stuart were asked to jointly make the first casts after Charles Maclean gave a whisky blessing to the river and the season ahead. 🎣Niaomi and Cameron were invited to make the first casts after they both independently raised the highest funds during #fishdee24 last year; a fantastic achievement by these ladies, especially as Cameron is only 14 years old!!
The funds are being raised to support the ongoing work of the trust and its mission to plant a million trees by 2035…helping to nurture young salmon by improving their natural fresh water habitat. 👏👏👏 Look out for more information about #fishdee24 2022 and how you can support this worthwhile cause.💙 #tighlines
A final #Riverwatch at Potarch for 2021, very cold with overnight temperatures well below freezing saw floating ice in the river and wintry skies 💙
River Watch at Potarch in the golden hour before sunset 🧡 a blustery autumnal afternoon, but the sunshine all day made us smile…a perfect day! 🍁
#fishdee24 started last night to raise funds for the The River Dee trust for education , conservation and habitat work.
30 keen anglers are taking part on 7 beats on the river including Commonty.
Derek who works in our property team was volunteering as a steward early this morning and caught this video of two otters swimming up the beat! 👏 So lovely to watch 💙 what a bonus for an early start on his day off!
The ‘Burn of Angels’ is a hidden gem at Potarch, please #respectprotectenjoy and #onlyleavefootprints so that future visitors and guests see this area just as it should be…a haven for nature and wildlife!
This is a lovely short clip around sunset last night, make sure you have your sound on to enjoy the noise of the river and birdsong! #natureathome
River Watch at Potarch...the Dee is in spate due to warmer temperatures and rapidly melting snow. With wet weather 💦 forecast until Sunday we will be keeping a close eye on river levels over the next few days!
