I thought you would like to see how magical it looks at Sealight when we have snow, these photos taken a couple of weeks ago by Eilidh our lovely caretaker. We do not get a big fall of snow all that often low down by Loch Sunart but plenty in the hills but beautiful to see when it happens. I bet the pine martens were getting frosty tummies in this!

An interesting travel blog by "the chaotic Scot" when she enjoyed some very interesting experiences on offer around Ardnamurchan. Links on here if you fancy giving any of these a go when you next stay at Sealight. I think I better try some myself, the wild swimming sounds wonderful but I do prefer my water warm, tropical or in a bath!😅😅

A day out to Drimnin for a first visit to the NC'Nean distillery, very young, organic and in the middle of nowhere! Well worth a visit but book ahead for the tour as limited numbers. A short walk away is Alan B Hayman's wonderful gallery and fascinating studio, he is a very talented Scottish wildlife and landscape artist. On the way home we called in at Ardtornish estate for a walk round the gardens and a visit to the farm shop, oh and an ice cream!

The lawn has had it's first cut, colour is returning to the garden and it is warm and sunny with a sparkle on the loch. Today is the last chance to grab the 5 day stay starting Monday then we are almost full for the rest of the year!

Beautiful sunny day, photos down on the beach this morning. So glad we can welcome guests back from 26th April, so many have missed out over the 5 months of lockdown.

Guests staying at Sealight in the near future, look what is at the Bothy bar, well worth calling in for a drink or eats and see if you can spot these beauties. When we were building Sealight a barn own was found sitting on the oak frame several times by our builder, I bet he was disappointed when the walls went up! Last year a barn owl was often seen hunting below the house before dusk, keep a look out this year.

We are delighted to let you know Sealight will be back up and running welcoming guests again from 18th July. We have been here ourselves this week making everything ready and putting in place all safety requirements, staff training, lots of paperwork and plenty of information to keep our guests, caretakers and ourselves safe from Covid-19.
The pine martins, Doc & Marty are missing their nightly treats from our guests so they will be skipping along the deck when they see the first arrivals!

I would like to share these two wonderful photos with you, they were taken by our guests who stayed at Sealight over the Christmas week. This is how they celebrated Christmas day, how many of us can say we swam and canoed on the beautiful Loch Sunart in the winter sun on 25th December!
