Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Driver/Yardman at Maverick Engineering Ltd in Acle (and sometimes at our branch in Yarmouth). The role will involve day-to-day tasks such as Van/Flatbed driving, maintaining the workshops, helping with the goods in and out and forklift operation. The Driver/Yardman will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods, ensuring the workshops are up to a general level of cleanliness and assisting with the stores and checking in/out of stock where needed.

A successful applicant will have the following
- Full UK Driving License
- Preferably previous experience driving and delivering goods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive work ethic
- Experience with a Forklift
- Knowledge or experience with Pipe fitting and/or metal work is a plus.

We are looking for a new Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team. There are multiple vacancies available.

A Successful Candidate will be able to do the follow:
• Sheet metal fabrication and welding background essential. (atleast 5 years’ experience desirable).
• Able to read and understand working engineering drawings
• Forward thinking individual.
• Able to solve problems when presented with them and work through them as an individual or in a team based environment.
• Ambitions to learn new skills and progress within the company.
• Mature attitude to work ethics and values which align with that of the company.
• Experience and knowledge of working with hand tools.
• Have good communication, organisation and team working skills
• Have a good understanding of health and safety
• Be able to work flexibly and to deadlines

Details regarding the position:
- Mostly workshop based with potential for on site work, but this would be infrequent.
- Monday – Friday
- Overtime available but not guaranteed.
- 39hour working week.
