The cottage is situated in a quiet location with beautiful views of the surrounding hills in the Donside area of Aberdeenshire, on the edge of the Grampian Highlands. It is located on a small, family-run working farm which has both sheep and cattle (including Highland Cattle) in the surrounding fields. It is ideally positioned as a central point for the exploration of the many attractions in Aberdeenshire and the surrounding Grampian region. The cottage has its own parking area and a completely enclosed and sizeable patio and garden. Patio furniture is supplied so you can enjoy a leisurely meal outside. As a result an extensive variety of birds frequent the garden and its surroundings. There is a bird-table in the garden so you can encourage them to stop a little longer. Foxes and even deer can be seen occasionally, provided you are quiet and observant. Short walks along the lanes adjoining the farm will allow you to see even more as well as butterflies and wild flowers in abundance.
