Rothbury Carriageway (15 mins away). 6 mile circular route around the Armstrong Estate along the old carriageway track. Accessible from the Rothbury town centre.

Ross Back Sands (35 mins away) - park before the village at Ross. Bit of a walk to get to beach but worth it. Jaw dropping coastline…don’t tell anybody!! 😉

Further afield across the Scottish border - 60 mins drive. St Abbs. Beautiful harbour, Ebbcarr’s cafe (have the cullen skink) and a walk up to the lighthouse along the cliffs. This was taken just past the lighthouse.

The Black Bull Etal - 30 mins drive to the gorgeous Ford & Etal estates. This pub has a thatched roof and lovely food. Dog friendly.
