Did you know that there is another zoo in Northumberland? We went to visit Northumberland College Zoo where the hard working keepers, students and volunteers take care of all sorts of animals. From Guinea Pigs to Dik Diks, we saw animals from all over the world and even had the chance to feed Meerkats!

This wonderful new restaurant has opened in Alnwick, tastefully named Sonnet! The tasting menu is very unique using local delicacies and carefully planned out flavours and presentation. We tried it out ourselves for lunch today with friends, and we can highly recommend it! It's open Wednesday to Saturday for lunch or dinner.

Have you been to Northumberland Zoo? We had a wonderful afternoon exploring the various creatures that reside there from Armadillos to Snow Leopards and even smaller ones of guinea pigs and lemurs! There's so much to see and do there for all different ages - a tractor museum and a play park. A must do in Northumberland, you can't miss the signs off the A1!

Did you know you can take part in an outdoor adventure game in Alnwick? The Magic Bottles sends you on a magical quest to explore and hunt around Alnwick - even parts you may not have visited having lived in the town for many years! We did it ourselves yesterday and had a spellbinding time exploring the town centre. We even went past The Potions Room, Alnwick front door!

Did you know there was a deer park in Alnwick? Hulne Park is a beautiful, historic and picturesque family friendly space. There are 3 different routes you can take, we took the red one today which was 4.7miles taking you past the ruins of Hulne Abbey. All the paths were clearly marked along the way and very easy to use. Highly recommended for an easy walk from the town centre!
