I've been out again, this time with zero visibility most of the way but enjoyed nonetheless 14 miles, 2,800 metres ascending, 8 Wainwrights and 8 Hours.

It's not just our main bathroom and ensuite that are new here at Boltons Tarn Lodge Neaum Crag Ambleside, we also have given the master bedroom a facelift now with a king bed and new bedroom furniture.
The lounge has also had new additions and a new sofa is on order and will be in situ before the Summer.

It's not always "Double Trouble"!!

I am sure those who have booked our lodge this year will be super pleased to see our new additions to the lodge.

We have installed a new Family bathroom replacing what was a tired shower room to a shiny and modern bathroom, we have more importantly added an En-Suite to the master bedroom allowing for families or couples to easily share the lodge, less of a que to use the shower in the morning 😃👍

What’s happening at the lodge this closed period?
Can anyone spot the differences from the first photo?

The lodge is having an en-suite fitted to the Master bedroom , and a brand new main bathroom making it even more comfortable for families and couples to get together for a holiday.

New storage heater has also been installed.

We’ve been really lucky with the weather this week, with bright blue skies, sun and the Spring colours starting to show through.
The lodge is vacant next week if anyone wants a last minute break.

It’s such a beautiful evening we’ve decided to take advantage of the weather and we are having a BBQ, a cheeky mallard has decided he’d like to share he’ll be waiting patiently for a while 🤣

Did you know we overlook Neaum Crags Paddock? Where of an evening you’ll see Resident Roe Deer mingling and Billy the horse takes up residency.

We’ve replaced the electric panel heater for an electric stove effect fire and have finished this off with a slab of Honister Slate.
Bringing a warm cosy addition to the lodge for those colder nights.

The weather has been rather unreal this last week.
Toms managed to get out each morning running and I’ve set him the challenge to take a few pictures while he’s out and about.

Just in case any of the regulars to the lodge are wondering, the lodge was sold in November by Pete and Ann and the new owners Tom and Alex have decided to let out with myself, I am Heather of Neaum Crag Services and I live on site with my Partner Slevin who is the Estate Manager.

The lodge is now open for Christmas 2022 & from the 4th March 2023 for bookings.

The lodge is still as homely and cosy as ever and accepts dogs after all what's a Lakes holiday without the whole family!??

I'm really super impressed with the handy work of Boltons Tarns new owners.
After picking out my favourites from a small selection of material samples they showed me and finding that we all had the same taste, I was delighted to see the new curtains hanging in the lodge.
They have even been backed which helps a great deal in the colder months. It's great to have hands on owners.

What do you think? They certainly bring a little of the outside in.
