Free hot meals provided by Scottish Power for those still without power on the Island, while they work hard to get power restored. Well done, SP! 👍

For those without power due to , hot meals are being provided at Mona Industrial Park, Gwalchmai in Anglesey until 10pm this evening.

We’re also working closely with the British Red Cross as they continue to check on vulnerable customers on our Priority Services Register, ensuring additional support is provided where needed.

If you've visited Amlwch before, you'll no doubt have seen the windmill overlooking Amlwch Port harbour. Known as Melin y Borth windmill, it was built in 1816 and was the tallest on Anglesey, with 7 floors and stood approx 60ft high. It was unusual in that it was constructed mainly of brick. It closed in 1910 and has stood empty since. There are plans by the council to turn the windmill into a focal point of a new community park. You can access the harbour breakwater from here, but the path was muddy today, so didn't venture down. Great view of the port!

Our solar panels and battery are up and running! We're trying to be more environmentally conscious and hoping to improve our green credentials with renewable energy. 🌿 Thanks to Jay for doing a sterling job with the scaffolding, Diromax Exterior Cleaning for cleaning the roof and special thanks to Menai Heating for an awesome install! That's a serious bit of kit! Now we just need some ☀😁.

WE'RE CLOSED ... for maintenance! 😉

After a very busy season, we've closed our doors for a couple of weeks to get some jobs done, and for us to get some well deserved time at Gwendon ourselves 😊. Today the scaffolding is going up in preparation for solar panels being installed next week. But first job, the roof, conservatory and patio flags are getting a much needed clean. There's moss growing on the east side so it needs treating before the panels go up. Neil's enjoying time there this week while the trades are in, and I'm looking forward to spending the following week putting the Christmas deccies up 🎄🎅⛄️!
