This weekend we have a full house of walkers ready to take on the Anglesey Coastal Path. Amlwch is a great place to hop on the path with great return bus links for splitting the route into smaller walks.

Amlwch to Llaneillian point has great views over the cliffs our onto the Irish Sea. For the more adventurous this route will continue to Moelfre where you can visit the RNLI museum and shop.

Yesterday we had a sunny day out at Moelfre and visited the RNLI museum. Whilst a lovely day its also recommended to visit Moelfre on a stormy day to see why the RNLI is based in the area and why so many ships have run into trouble nearby. Lots of interesting stories can be found in the museum including an amusing anecdote about a wheelie bin rescue.

Ann's Pantry is a great stop for lunch or cake and tea or if you after something more refreshing on a hot day the dog friendly Kinmel Arms can provide drinks with a sea view.

Moelfre is 10 minutes away by car or 3 hours 13 mile trek down the coastal path. (The number 62 bus is available for the return leg!)

Looking for something to do? How about a nice 10km stroll from Amlwch port to Mon Parys (Parys Mountain).

Don't worry Mon Parys is more of a hill at 151M. For those after the bigger mountains the Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park is 45 minutes away.

If heading to Cemaes don't forget to have a pint at the most northenly pub in Wales.

Stocked with Beers, Ales, Gins Soft Drinks & more its definitely a great pit stop after a walk along the beach.

A little trip to Cemaes the most northernly village in Wales (5.4 miles ~10 minutes drive).

A windy but picturesque walk along the beach and the Anglesey coastal path.

The Cemaes Time and Tide Bell was installed in April 2014, and has become a prominent feature on Traeth Mawr. It is one of only five bells installed so far as part of the ambitious project by sculptor Marcus Vergette. The others can be found in Appledore Devon, Trinity Buoy Wharf London, Aberdyfi Gwynedd and B***a on the Isle of Lewis. Four more bells are currently under development.

We've been for a lovely New Year's Day stroll to the Port and along the coastal path.

Followed by some Cheese & Crackers back in the warmth.

A great way to blow away the cobwebs and the NYE hangovers.
