We are blessed to meet such interesting people who choose our cottage to stay in. Our latest guests were fromOrlando, Florida USA. They lead a very different adventurous life at present spending 6 mths in Florida ( their home) and for the other 6 mths they go house sitting . They take cycles with them in their camper van and cycle round the places they house sit. We were a stop gap a few days between sits. It was lovely to chat to them and hear about their adventures. Hope to catch up with them in the future.
They loved Anglesey and thought the cycling was great.
We still have availability sept onwards - bring your bike!

From today we have launched our special offer for the school summer holidays. Kids eat for £1 for each Main Menu Main Adult meal purchased.
Monday - Friday 12 - 2.30pm and Saturday 12 - 4pm. Maximum age 12 years old applies. Booking not essential but we do recommend it as we get very busy over this period www.theringanglesey.co.uk

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

Summer is coming my local walk sunshine and birdsong

Wet and windy on a deserted Cemaes Bay today. The kind of day to relax and think about booking a break check out our availability bookings being taken.

Quiet still day at Cemaes Bay

We had a walk in the Severn valley park and timed it perfectly by accident arriving at the crossing just as the Severn Valley steam train came through. Reminds me of my youth.

Well here we are Riddings Retreat for four days discovery of the area. The shepherds hut is so cute, lovely situation surrounded by trees with as you will see a meadow view. Ruben has his own enclosed safe space . The hut is compact but well designed with a great use of space. Great shower and very warm and cosy.

I love this time of year when hundreds of geese fly over the cottage honking away it’s such a heart warming sight.

Our latest guest with her Romanian rescue Freky. A lovely calm boy good with other dogs and our dog savvy cats.

Just two nights with us and what a lovely sunny weekend to choose but their bonus was a family get together how lovely is that. We all should make more time to see family and friends it’s important and not to just meet on those big occasions some of which you would rather did not happen(funerals).
